Would you rather spend Valentine’s Day making turns in Targhee powder with your sweetheart? Or whisk them off for a romantic dinner beneath the flickering lights of the Eiffel Tower? Thanks to Wanderlust Bistro in Victor, you can have it both ways. No, really.
Located in the Teton Valley Resort, and brought to life by the dynamic partnership behind Streetfood at the Stagecoach and Butter Cafe, Wanderlust Bistro delivers worldly flavors in a cozy, local spot. And in addition to a tantalizing lineup of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, patrons can also take advantage of free parking and a free shuttle to Grand Targhee Ski Resort.

“The shuttle schedule is available on the Grand Targhee website — it is close to hourly with a few extra times at the heavy traffic times,” says Amelia Hatchard, co-owner of Wanderlust Bistro. “The first shuttle leaves the resort at 5:30 a.m. and the last is 9:30 p.m. It is a free shuttle and there is free parking behind the restaurant. We open at 7 a.m. daily. People can come in and grab coffee and a burrito while they are waiting for the shuttle — it picks everyone up directly in front of the restaurant.”
Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday (today) this year but on Saturday Wanderlust is hosting a “Valentine’s Day in Paris” at 7 p.m.
“Travel is weird right now, so we decided to bring everyone to France right from the safety of Victor on Saturday, Feb. 12th. The food, the flavor, the wine, is there anything better? On top of that, we are offering babysitting right upstairs with movies, kids’ food, and games.” As of now, there’s still some availability at Teton Valley Resort to top off your romantic evening with a cozy staycation, too.

After a starter of housemade brioche rolls and roasted garlic rosemary palmiers, the four-course meal features mushroom soup with locally-sourced Morning Dew Mushrooms, a “Sexy” Bouillabaisse with saffron cream, mussels, and fennel confit, and a seared duck breast infused with savory chocolate and orange essence. Finish the meal with a decadent reinterpretation of a chocolate-covered strawberry: a chocolate pot de creme with strawberry boba, cocoa puffs, and dehydrated strawberry, garnished with — what else? — more chocolate.
The $90 per person meal includes thoughtfully-crafted wine pairings with each course, showcasing varietals and blends from various regions of France. Très bon! Make your reservation now, though — spaces are limited and filling up quickly.
So, thanks to Wanderlust, you can enjoy a spectacularly romantic evening on Saturday, and still hit the slopes on the 14th!

One of the best things about Wanderlust, though, is that there’s no need to wait for a special occasion to enjoy their internationally-inspired menu. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, the eatery is offering 2-for-1 entrees on Monday nights (like you needed an excuse to tuck into a seared ribeye with horseradish and caramelized onion mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and horseradish cream) in addition to much-beloved Taco Tuesdays. Wednesdays feature sticky-perfect ribs, and on Thursdays, kids eat for free. No matter when you’re headed to Wanderlust, there’s something worth checking out — before your snowy adventure, after, or both.
