Roadhouse Brewery Teams Up With JHMR for Fifth-Annual Kings & Queens of Corbets

The limited edition beer celebrates special event starting this weekend.

This year marks the fifth-annual Kings & Queens of Corbets at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village. The extravagant event, where ski hill celebrities jump into the renowned couloir showing off their trick skills, has been happening since 2018. The window for the competition is Feb. 12-18 this year – check the website and social media for the most up-to-date (weather dependent) information. And once again, local Roadhouse Brewing Company has created a beer in collaboration with the event.

The one-day invitational brings together some of the best downhill athletes in February. Roadhouse is recognizing these world-class skiers and snowboarders with a custom brew. This year’s beer creation is a 5% ABV kolsch that is lightly fruity and crisp. The Roadhouse crew wanted to focus on their favorite part of beer: drinkability.

“We brewed a light and crushable kolsch,” said brewmaster Max Shafer. “We hope that after a long and grueling day, spectators, athletes, and anyone else looking for a quenching and smooth beer, can enjoy this kolsch well into the night while reliving those big moments from an epic day.”

Roadhouse Brewing Company has teamed up with JHMR to create a Kings & Queens of Corbets specialty beer.

The Kings & Queens beer will be available this month at local spots in town, including the Roadhouse Pub & Eatery and Roadhouse Tap Room and in Teton Village at The Handle Bar at Four Seasons, Piste Mountain Bistro, RPK3, Il Villagio Osteria and The Mangy Moose.

Roadhouse has provided athletes and guests with a specialty brew for the last five years of Kings & Queens of Corbets. “I am beyond excited that Roadhouse Brewing will once again be pouring Kings and Queens Beer,” said Jess McMillan of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Roadhouse Brewing also recently collaborated with Jackson Hole Still Works distillery to keep their beer from going bad. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Roadhouse gave Still Works barrels of beer that they could no longer sell, and Still Works was able to distill them into whiskey. The producers were recently able to taste the outcome after 16 months, and within the next few months, the final whiskey product will be on shelves for sale.

Keep an eye out locally for the collaboration whiskey and the Kings & Queens Kolsch on tap.
