There’s a Philly cheesesteak for every palate on the menu at Cutty’s Bar & Grill, but the fan favorite has got to be the Nor’easter. Make it at home, and customize the toppings to your liking. Ingredients
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced thinly
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 pound shredded sirloin or ribeye steak
- 3 slices chopped bacon, partially cooked
- Dash of salt
- Dash of pepper
- Dash of onion powder
- 3 slices white American cheese
- 1 hoagie roll (preferably Amoroso)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 dill pickle, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Caramelize onions in vegetable oil in a skillet on medium heat until softened.
- Add the meat and bacon, then season with dashes of salt, pepper and onion powder.
- When the meat is steaming and mostly cooked, lay 3 slices of white American cheese on top of the mixture and let it melt.
- Scoop it onto a hoagie roll that has been spread with mayonnaise.
- Top with dill pickle slices.
