Outpost Renters: Let Outfitted do Your Grocery Shopping

Jump to recipe

What are the top two goals of any good vacation? I would venture a guess that they include leisure and, in the case of a Jackson Hole vacation, outdoor recreation. Time is a finite resource, and the time we have to be on vacation is a previous commodity. So, why would you want to spend any of that time roaming the unfamiliar aisles of a grocery store and standing in line? You don’t want to, but it feels like a necessary evil. Wrong.outpost kitchen

Outpost is a Jackson Hole vacation rental property management company with almost 200 short term rental properties throughout the valley. And with that rental, you are privy to a menu of add-on services that they hope will allow guests a seamless transition from their own homes to their rental home. Some of these guest services and perks include full service concierge, discounted activities, discounted ski lift tickets (when packaged with lodging), gear rental and delivery, and, most important to us, grocery delivery.

These perks are exclusively for Outpost guests. They can be purchased in conjunction with lodging, or through Outpost’s sister site: outfittedjh.com. This is your one-stop shop to make sure you have everything you need before you even arrive.

All you’ll have to do before-hand is determine what you need and create a shopping list, like you would if you were doing the shopping. Grocery delivery is $50, and guests can just email their grocery list to Outpost, who will get the items on your list from Jackson Whole Grocer.
You’ve already spent money on a rental, why not enjoy it by dining in one evening of your vacation? To keep things extra easy, here’s an idea for a one-pan dinner you can easily prepare in any Outpost rental.
Think of this as a no-recipe recipe, an opportunity for you to modify and improvise to your personal tastes and preferences!

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
