In a cloud of uncertainty, we were inundated this past week with closures and cancellations on the heels of escalating threat posed by the current pandemic. We appreciate the steps our community has taken to mitigate the risks. We hope that we can still provide a minimal sense of normalcy to our followers by presenting some ideas for celebrating tomorrow’s holiday while still exercising social distancing.

This may be a very different St. Patrick’s Day than we’re all used to, but we hope you all can find a little cheer tomorrow by celebrating in a safe and fun way. It’s safe to say that the usual calendar of events has been canceled. We will all miss Snake River Brewing’s annual celebration, but the Brew Pub is accepting to-go orders of food and beer. In the coming days, we will compose a complete guide to the availability of to-go orders from your favorite Jackson establishments.st. patrick's day

Stock up for a St. Patrick’s Day-themed feast at Jackson Whole Grocer. On-theme options include Irish baked goods, deals in the liquor department, a hot bar stocked with Irish food, a Shamrock Latte option at the juice bar and corned beef in the meat department.

While you’re swinging through town, fuel your immunity and your green theme at Healthy Being. Healthy Being Cafe & Juicery is already your one stop shop for all things green. Celebrate all the virtues of greens with them on St. Patty’s Day! When you purchase any green smoothie or green juice, and you’ll get another for half price.

Persephone and Picnic are open for to-go order only, and we highly recommend adding some themed treats to your order. Shamrock-shaped cookies will be sure to bring a twinge of cheer to your day.persephone st. patrick's day

Finally, for an extra dose of festivity, we encourage you give classic corned beef a try at home. From start to finish, the chefs at Snake River Brewery will give you the tricks of the trade to make this at-home endeavor a success, here. Then, wash it down with two truly unique green drinks.

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
