In Jackson Hole, the setting is never just a backdrop—it’s part of the story. And Edge Wyld, founded by Julie Edge Kendall, has built a business around that idea, creating full-service outdoor events that blend food, landscape and experience into something deeply memorable. From intimate gatherings to multi-layered group events, Edge Wyld specializes in helping people experience Wyoming in a way that feels intentional, comfortable, and unmistakably local.

Full-Service Outdoor Events, Reimagined
While Edge Wyld began with elevated picnics paired with wildlife tours, the company has evolved into something broader and more immersive. Today, their signature offering is thoughtfully designed outdoor events that feel seamless from start to finish.
“What really defines Edge Wyld today is our ability to take a group—whether it’s friends, family, or a corporate team—and create something that feels deeply rooted in Jackson Hole and unlike anything they’ve done before,” Kendall explains.
That might mean curated outdoor dinners, live-fire grill-outs or experiences layered with activities, décor and storytelling. The common thread is intention: events designed to feel effortless for guests while still deeply connected to the surrounding landscape.

Why the Wyoming Landscape Changes Everything
For Kendall, the magic of the landscape lies in how it affects people once they’re truly immersed in it.
“Wyoming has a way of slowing people down and waking them up at the same time,” she says. “When you place an event within that landscape instead of just near it, people become more present. People get the opportunity to connect by disconnecting.”
The result? Conversations linger, meals feel more meaningful, and time seems to stretch. “The setting does half the work for you,” Kendall notes. “Our job is simply to honor it and let people experience it without distractions or stress.”
Comfort, Fire and Food That Fits the Setting
Edge Wyld’s events are designed so guests can fully relax into the experience—especially important in a mountain environment. Comfort is considered at every level, from seating and cozy blankets to fire features and welcoming layouts.

Food plays a central role as well. Menus often lean into live fire, grill-outs, and elevated outdoor cooking, with dishes that are hearty yet refined. Ingredients are seasonal, fresh, and sourced locally whenever possible.
“We also think about flow,” Kendall says. “When guests arrive, how the space unfolds, where people naturally gather, and how the experience moves from one moment to the next. When guests don’t have to think about logistics, they can fully sink into the setting.”
Not Only an Event, an Authentic Wyoming Experience
One recent gathering perfectly captured Edge Wyld’s approach. A multi-generational family visiting Jackson wanted more than a dinner—they wanted a true Wyoming experience. Edge Wyld delivered a full day that unfolded naturally, beginning with a guided daytime activity and ending with a sunset dinner on a scenic ranch.
The evening included a simplified, ranch-style rodeo with interactive games, live music, storytelling and food cooked over the grill. “What made it special wasn’t one single element,” Kendall reflects. “It was how everything worked together to feel effortless, immersive, and deeply connected to place.”

What Edge Wyld Wants Guests to Take Home
At its core, Edge Wyld isn’t about hosting events outdoors—it’s about cultivating experiences that feel personal, grounded, and authentic to Wyoming.
“We handle everything from planning to execution so our clients can simply show up and be present,” Kendall says. “Our goal is always the same: to create something that leaves people with a lasting memory of Jackson Hole—not just photos, but a feeling they carry home with them.”
