Mark your calendars, Jackson! On Feb. 21, the valley’s most artful winter soirée returns to the hill at the National Museum of Wildlife Art for the 10th Annual Blacktail Bash, and this year, it’s sparkling in full diamond-anniversary fashion. Equal parts masquerade, culinary showcase and community celebration, the Blacktail Bash has become one of winter’s most anticipated nights out. Think: masked elegance, bold bites, rare art and a room full of locals dressed to impress.

Be a Curator for the Night
For one evening only, the Museum is unlocking its vault. Rarely seen works will be brought out exclusively for Bash guests—and here’s where it gets fun: you get to vote. Attendees will participate in two rounds of voting to determine which two pieces go on public display in the coming year. Tastemaker, art critic, patron of the arts: Your moment has arrived.
A Menu as Artful as the Gallery Walls
Culinary honors go to Palate, and let’s just say… come hungry. The menu reads like a love letter to bold Western elegance.
Passed hors d’oeuvres include:
- Whiskey-glazed bison steak bites with smoky pepper reduction over house chips
- Mushroom–gruyère phyllo cups infused with sherry and thyme
- Charcuterie skewers layered with cured meats, fruit, cheese and fig balsamic
- Shrimp cocktail spoons for a refined seafood bite
At the appetizer station:
- Mini crab cakes with creole crème fraîche
- Pastalaya (Cajun-inspired comfort with chicken sausage, bell pepper, onion and creamy sauce)
- Fancy deviled eggs topped with chive pearls
And for dessert (because obviously):
- Champagne chocolate truffles with a silver finish
- Coconut truffles dusted in blue shimmer
- Mini king cake bread pudding cupcakes crowned with whipped cream cheese frosting or white chocolate glaze

Drinks will be flowing courtesy of beloved local partners including Grand Teton Distillery/Bomb Sommelier, Highpoint Cider, Lula Wine Bar and POW Wines—so expect a dynamic lineup worthy of the occasion.
Bid, Sip, Celebrate
In honor of its 10th year, the silent auction is bigger than ever. Guests can bid on wildlife artwork, luxe staycation packages, culinary experiences, a Teton stack ring set, and more—thanks to generous community partners like The Cloudveil, Snow King Resort, South Fork Lodge, Jackson Hole Jewelry Co., Fine Dining Group, Gather and many others.
And the best part? Every dollar raised supports the Museum’s exhibitions, educational initiatives, and community programming—ensuring art and wildlife conservation continue to inspire our valley for years to come.
