Jackson Drug
Located right on the Town Square in the heart of Jackson Hole, Jackson Drug is one of the valley’s oldest establishments. And a classic spot for lovers of ice cream and milkshakes. All of Jackson Drug’s ice cream is made in-house with cream from nearby Reed’s Dairy.
Keep it simple with a scoop or two (flavors include huckleberry, Cowboy Coffee, mint chip, and more), or make it a sundae with tantalizing toppings. Alternatively, indulge in one of the menu’s decadent floats or splits. Banana split? Brownie sundae? How do you choose? Located between Alpine and Thayne in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming, JACZ is a great place for ice cream and so much more. Not only are they home to an RV park, miniature golf and some of the best burgers in the area, but they’ve got a truly adorable vintage travel trailer-turned-ice-cream-truck called Scoopz.
They’re serving everything from refreshing paletas to classic hard-scoop ice cream, delicious sundaes, shareable banana splits and satisfying ice cream sandwiches. And what makes this spot extra fun? It can come to you. Whether you’re planning a birthday party, reunion or just need an excuse to invite the gang to your place, you can hire Scoopz to bring all the sweet treats.
Aspens Market
When you’re on the West Bank and in need of a cold sweet treat, Aspens Market‘s fleet of ice cream choices will make sure that craving is answered. Vanilla, chocolate, and swirl soft serve has been on the menu for a few summers, extra credit if you top it with Graza olive oil. New this summer, the Aspens is serving up Shumway Farms scoops in rotating flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, huckleberry, and pistachio. All options are available to be served in a cone or cup, or a genius hack of a waffle bowl, in a cup, to ensure a clean ice cream experience. Shumway Farms pints are also available for grab and go- yes, their ice cream is so good, you may need a whole pint.
Cream + Sugar Scoop Shop (& Beyond)
Locally-crafted ice cream by Cream + Sugar makes the perfect treat for a hot summer afternoon! Swing on into the Scoop Shop on the Town Square and order up one of the signature scoops or a limited-edition flavor. It’s a super cute spot that feels just as whimsical and sweet as the treats they’re serving.
But one of the best parts about Cream + Sugar treats is that they’re available throughout town, too. You can find pints of ice cream as well as their beloved ice cream sandwiches at local retailers, which means you can bring some home to enjoy whenever the craving strikes. Also new this summer, you can enjoy Cream + Sugar ice cream sandwiches on the Rooftop at the Cloudveil, AND you can even rent the ice cream cart for your own private event! And what if home is many miles away? No stress. They’ll ship their delectable desserts nationwide, so you can have a taste of Jackson Hole summer wherever you are.
