Sip & Shop Throughout Jackson Hole

Stocking up your kitchen or spirit collection? Elevate your shopping experience at local grocers and markets by stopping in for one of many scheduled tasting events. These events offer customers the option to try before they buy, and enjoy discounts on featured products. Find tasting events hosted throughout the many corners of Jackson Hole, below:

Jackson Hole Marketplace

Every Friday, conclude your week with an exploration of the wines at Jackson Hole Marketplace while you stock up for the weekend. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or causal enthusiast, these tastings allow tasters to explore different varieties and regions of wine. Plus, the market has a diverse range of regionally produced specialty goods, ensuring your weekend gatherings are well-stocked and well-received by any guests you may be hosting. Tasting times are 4-6 p.m. each Friday; check the store’s Instagram to preview the week’s featured wines—which are 15% off on tasting days.

Pearl Street Market

Last year, Pearl Street Market reorganized its store to include a large and varied collection of wines and spirits. With a greater focus on its alcohol offerings, Pearl Street Market is now hosting a few pop-up tasting events in the coming weeks. On The Jan. 31 tasting will highlight vodkas and the Feb. 7 tasting will focus on rum. Each tasting event is held from 4–6 p.m., is free, open to the public, and includes a 15% discount on featured liquors and syrups. Eventually, Pearl Street Market would like to consistently offer a tasting event every Wednesday featuring various liquors, wines, or sake.

Bin22

Bin22 hosts tastings on occasion, but not on a consistently recurring basis. The best way to find out about these events is to join their wine club email list. Sign up for the list, and be the first to know about these tastings (which include discounts on featured products) here.

Bodega

New this winter, Bodega is hosting a pop-up butcher event every Friday from 2–5 p.m. This event allows customers to shop hand-cut local steaks and meats, Bovine & Swine’s seasonal and signature sausages, wine pairings and more, all while enjoying select food and drink samples. Turn your après ski into a sip and shop experience at Bodega, conveniently located near the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village.

Jackson Hole Winery Tasting Room

Taste locally made wines from Jackson Hole Winery at their tasting room, located off Jackson’s Town Square inside New West KnifeWorks. Open seven days a week, the tasting room welcomes walk-ins from noon to 7 p.m. for wines by the glass or tasting flights. While enjoying these wines, visitors would be remiss to not also browse the store’s selection of New West KnifeWorks products. The craftsmanship of these items pairs harmoniously with the attention to detail that was paid in crafting Jackson Hole Winery’s wines. You can now taste Jackson Hole wines in Teton Village! Their new tasting room is located on the ground floor of the Alpenhof and is open Wednesdays through Sundays, with plans to open seven days a week and offer limited food items in February.

The Liquor Store

Without adhering to a specific schedule, The Liquor Store (or TLS) frequently hosts wine and beer tastings at its location adjacent Albertson’s. The knowledgeable staff at The Liquor Store are passionate about their offerings and are eager to guide you through the tastings, providing valuable insights and recommendations. Most often, wine tastings are held on Fridays from 4–6 p.m., while beer tastings are usually Saturdays from 3-5 p.m. However, check the store’s Instagram account or call to confirm.

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
