T. Roosevelt – a conservationist, a naturalist, Vice President and President of the United States – and now a new restaurant on North Cache Street in downtown Jackson! Siblings Kristen and Mark Walker (opened Roosevelts in mid-May to pay homage to their favorite historic figure and turn their longtime vision into a reality of great food and an ambience that will have you circling the restaurant long after you’ve eaten to take in all the Roosevelt memorabilia.
The siblings bought the domain name for this restaurant almost 10 years ago, and once the 140 North Cache space became available, Roosevelts finally had a home! The pair come by the restaurant business naturally, having been born into the family business (their parents own the Gun Barrel). The space, formally occupied by Suda and Lotus Café, is a two-story dining room thoughtfully curated with Roosevelt photos and décor, some of which are from the Wyoming Historic Society. The dark brick walls and leather booths give it a speak easy feel while still feeling airy and light. The upstairs dining area is perfect for private events and has a smaller bar, perfect for a more intimate experience with one of Roosevelt’s signature cocktails.
And now, of course, the food… Roosevelts’ menu is serving up made-from-scratch American Western fare that will appeal to all diners. Sandwiches, salads, pizzas and sweet treats give diners a plethora of choices for any appetite. The kid’s menu has all the kid classics, and all stick to a $10 price point.

To start we suggest the Roosevelt Tower (of onion rings), not just because onion rings are high up in our book of comfort foods, but because of the sauces! If sauces are your love language, Roosevelts will become your new go-to, as all sauces are made in-house and the tomatillo and mustard sauces that accompany the onion rings will have you wanting… more onion rings to dip!
In the mood for something on the lighter side? Roosevelts’ Sagamore Hill Roast Chicken and Goat Cheese Salad (pictured below) is a top choice, featuring fried goat cheese croutons, avocado, corn, mixed in an addictive champagne vinaigrette (more of our love language!)

Want to keep everything handheld and hungry mid-day (Roosevelts is open 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.)? The Mammoth Hot Spring Prosciutto Pizza paired with their Sunshine Spritz cocktail is a lovely in-town après activity nosh! And whatever you decide on, do not skip dessert. The Noble Peace Peanut Butter Pie is a Walker family recipe, that we may just have to beg for!

Let Roosevelts be your new reason to enjoy the hustle and bustle of downtown Jackson this summer.
