Not Your Average Frozen Drink

slushy machineLast weekend I got an unexpected surprise when headed up to the lake. Creekside Market & Deli is now serving frozen drinks.

While this is a new addition to the liquor store in the back of the store it is not, however, the real surprise. The real news here is that the two flavors of freshly squeezed frozen drinks they are pouring daily are amazingly delicious. We have a lot of great food and drinks in Jackson and I don’t like to play favorites, but I am going to admit it: this is now my new favorite place to grab a drink on the go.

The reason the drinks are so good, said owner Nick Bochicchio, is that he makes them from in-house squeezed juice, adding nothing artificial and a generous amount of good quality alcohol.

Flavors rotate everyday but the greyhound, which uses a case and a half of fresh grapefruits, has been popular and he keeps that in stock regularly. I tired the blackberry margarita and am literally salivating to go back for another one while I write this.

Costs are $4.99 for 12 ounces and $6.99 for 20 ounces. You can take them with a lid to go and he may offer larger containers (please) and punch cards in the near future.
