Oyster Day Party (& More) at The Rooftop at The Cloudviel

Celebrate National Oyster Day on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

“Guests will enjoy amazing views from The Rooftop, as well as a variety of wine, beer and cocktails, served alongside an assortment of passed appetizers, including mini everything pancakes with smoked oysters, cream cheese and pickled radish, deviled eggs with crispy fried oysters and pickled peppers and more,” reads the tempting invitation.

The Rooftop at The Cloudveil

Though the National Oyster Day Party will certainly be one to remember, The Rooftop is a spectacular spot on a normal night. Perched atop The Cloudveil, just steps from Jackson Hole’s iconic town square, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the town and the surrounding mountains.

Opening at 5 (on evenings that it’s not reserved for a private event), The Rooftop offers excellent bites and drinks. The menu is filled with small or shared plates- ideal for a happy hour hang or a summer version of après. Select among Mediterranean-inspired dishes, handmade pizzas and more.

Sip on a signature handcrafted cocktail, glass of wine or crisp draft microbrew and unwind.

Melissa Thomasma

In full rebellion against the unpredictable climate of the Rocky Mountains, you can find Melissa on her Teton Valley deck grilling any month of the year. Typically in flip flops. Snow, rain, wind… no weather is too fierce. She’s a lover of peaches in any form, has a borderline addiction to arugula, and (strangely) has been known to drizzle soy sauce on pizza. But even more than she loves her stand mixer and cast iron collection, she adores cooking for her husband and two kids. When this Jackson Hole native isn’t scurrying around her messy kitchen, she’s probably outside floating the river, hiking, camping, fishing, or, well… grilling.
