New hotel offers prime, mid-mountain location at Deer Valley Resort.
We travel regularly to Park City to work on Dishing Park City and get asked for recommendations all the time about where to eat and stay. There is a new hotel in Deer Valley that you must add to the list: Goldener Hirsch Residences.
Nestled into the mid-mountain area at Deer Valley Resort, the hotel, which offers up to three bedroom options for lodging, opened just last winter. The bike in/bike out (or ski in/ski out in the winter) location is perfect for using the many trails just out the door and the quite spot has just enough going on with a couple of great restaurants in walking distance or on site. Royal Street Cafe is open from 11:30-3 daily (don’t miss the Holy Roller green bloody mary which is currently on our Dishing Park City cover) and the Goldener Hirsch is famous for its classic cheese fondue and European flare. And don’t worry. If you want to head to busier Main Street for dinner, there is a driver on site who will take you to town for free.
Hotel highlights include a scenic rooftop pool and hot tub, a cafe to start your day with fresh coffee and pastries, and lovely spaces where you can relax by a fire or on a sunny deck. Small touches like the outdoor chess set make it fun to explore, that is if you can tear yourself away from the cozy beds…
