From Greenhouse to Your House: Vertical Harvest now Offers Delivery and Curbside Pickup

If you are looking for a way to avoid crowded grocery stores but still get the healthy, fresh produce that you and your summer meals deserve, look no further. Vertical Harvest, a 13,500 square foot greenhouse in town, provides locally grown, fresh vegetables year-round to Jackson area restaurants, grocery stores, and now, directly to consumers through curbside pick-up and home delivery on Fridays.

Like many businesses in Jackson, Vertical Harvest has had to get creative as COVID-19 deters many from being in public spots. The business has adapted by expanding the product line, with a smaller team in the greenhouse, to include four new micro blends and nasturtium, edible flowers, as well as providing a delivery service to anyone living in Jackson, Wilson and Teton Village.

The second week of delivery is in full swing at Vertical Harvest and for a $5 delivery fee, customers can stock their pantries with all the local greens they could want without leaving the house.

Give any meal or sandwich more flavor by adding Vertical Harvest’s citrus blend, spicy mix, or pea shoots micro greens, and for an extra dose of healthy, try adding Dr. Feel good, a mix of kale, pea shoots and broccoli, to any smoothie. For those fresh summer salads try the Teton tomatoes along with a variety of micro blends such as the power blend, filled with vitamin A, rich sorrel, protein packed sunflower, and tender baby rainbow chard to fuel the body.

Customers can choose a small or large Harvest Box, which includes tomatoes and living greens, or a mighty micro bundle – two different varieties of micro green blends. Place your order online by the end of the day Thursday to have fresh produce delivered Friday evening. Or no-contact curbside pickup can be done on Friday between 3:30-5 p.m. outside the greenhouse. Vertical Harvest lettuce cases and micro blends can also be found for sale at Jackson Whole Grocer and Aspens Market.

Food and Fitness come hand in hand for this Central New York native. Coaching fitness is a first passion, but exploring new restaurants, sampling seasonal dishes and tasting fresh new flavors is a very, very close second. I love food and sharing a good meal with friends can be a highlight to any day.
