Omakase, Agave and Art: An evening at Maya Frodeman Gallery

In the mood for an intimate and immersive dining experience? Join Dairoku and Wild Common on Friday, Feb. 21 at the stunning Maya Frodeman Gallery for an eight-course sushi omakase dinner, expertly paired with agave spirits and handcrafted cocktails

This exclusive evening showcases the artistry of traditional Japanese sushi, crafted with the finest fish flown in directly from Japan, ensuring an unparalleled level of freshness and quality. Each course is thoughtfully designed to highlight the delicate nuances of the seafood, while the pairings of Wild Common tequila and mezcal complement every bite. Chef Josh Neiman has a one-of-a-kind menu planned for this evening.

Courses will include: Japan’s milk bread with A5 wagyu, shiitake duxelles, crispy leeks and tonkatsu sauce, cold smoked hamachi with green chili/yuzu ponzu, potato lace, chives and sesame, and king crab with Persian cucumbers, ginger tosazu, Japanese parsley and lemon zest.

Surrounded by contemporary fine art, guests will embark on a journey of flavor, craftsmanship, and culture—where the precision of Japanese culinary tradition meets the rich heritage of agave spirits. Seating is extremely limited. This is a 21 and up only event and the dinner starts at 6 p.m.

About the Space

Specializing in modern and contemporary art, Maya Frodeman Gallery unites artists from all over the world in a tightly curated vision. Maya Frodeman Gallery began in 2024, continuing the 23-year legacy of Tayloe Piggott’s eponymous gallery, the first of its kind in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In an expansive exhibition space in downtown Jackson, and a secondary space just over the Snake River in Wilson, the gallery pursues a rigorous schedule of exhibitions representing both emerging and established artists, encompassing unique practices of painting, sculpture, paper, photography, and printmaking.

About the Chef

Chef Josh Neiman is a native of the Rocky Mountain West; Born and raised in northwest Montana, then making his way to Boulder, Colorado where he started his career as a Sushi Chef. In 2013 Josh moved to Jackson, WY and continued his craft at King Sushi.

Fast forward to now; Dairoku is a reflection of his time having worked at Sushi Tama in Los Angeles, followed by Michelin Star restaurant Sushi Nakazawa, both at their Aspen Residency and New York City locations.

With a focus on Edomae style sushi, Chef Josh sources direct from the Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo providing a unique and elevated dining experience to the valley.
