Wyoming Whiskey has cleared the path for Wyoming spirits, and since releasing their flagship small batch bourbon, they have made a major name for themselves in the scene. Now they are opening their doors on Jackson’s Town Square with a tasting room and bottle shop!
Opening this Wednesday, Oct. 12, the tasting room will host guests from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday each week. Serving up complimentary tastes, either in a flight or by the glass, the tasting room is intended to bring a level of sophistication and education to your whiskey experience.
The distillery is located off the beaten path in Kirby, Wyoming in the beautiful Big Horn Basin, so opening a tasting room in the center of Jackson, seemed like a no brainer. Conveniently located between the Town Square and The Wort at 45 W Broadway, the tasting room is intended to allow everyone (21 and up, of course) to taste before they buy. Back lit and resting on shelves made from old bourbon barrels, the bourbon bottles glisten and reflect amber colors around the room. Patrons can savor a sniff and sip to find which bottle is your preferred flavor.
Touting the state name proudly, Wyoming Whiskey released 2400 cases of their award winning flagship Small Batch Bourbon on December 1, 2012. They sold out in 26 seconds and never looked back. Since then, the distillery has released many more collections, and some very special limited editions creating a sort of cult following. The Outryder is a crowd favorite amongst consumers due to its unique flavor and mash bill of bourbon and rye.

You may have also noticed the small batch bourbon has a proof of 88% and an ABV of 44%. This was no mistake, the 44% ABV is to celebrate Wyoming as the 44th state to join the United States. The company is based in Wyoming, uses only Wyoming ingredients, and supports many statewide and national causes that embody the spirit of Wyoming. This was the precipice to partner with The National Park Foundation and create The National Parks Limited Edition Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
