Buffalo Bill Cody wasn’t just a man, he was a legend. A Pony Express rider, Union soldier, Medal of Honor recipient, founder of Cody, Wyoming and star of the world-famous Wild West show, Buffalo Bill brought the wild West life to audiences around the world. Crafted in that same pioneering spirit, Buffalo Bill Cody bourbon is made from grains grown in Wyoming, distilled in the small town of Kirby, and blended from 26 hand-picked barrels pulled from Wyoming Whiskey’s rack-house. According to master blender Brendan Cook, the goal was to create something unique within the Wyoming Whiskey portfolio. “We wanted to lean into the Buffalo Bill name and create a liquid we believe Bill would have enjoyed himself as he made his way across the American West,” said Cook. “It features notes of leather and tobacco, with the comforting sweetness we expect from Wyoming Whiskey.”

Since joining the team at the end of 2023, Brendan has fully immersed himself in every aspect of production—living in Kirby, WY full-time and implementing a rigorous cask sampling and monitoring process that gives him daily insight into how Wyoming’s extreme climate impacts maturation.
