Bourbon Fit for a Legend

Buffalo Bill Cody wasn’t just a man, he was a legend. A Pony Express rider, Union soldier, Medal of Honor recipient, founder of Cody, Wyoming and star of the world-famous Wild West show, Buffalo Bill brought the wild West life to audiences around the world. Annie Oakley said it best: “He was the simplest of men, as comfortable with cowboys as he was with kings.”

Crafted in that same pioneering spirit, Buffalo Bill Cody bourbon is made from grains grown in Wyoming, distilled in the small town of Kirby, and blended from 26 hand-picked barrels pulled from Wyoming Whiskey’s rack-house. Each sip is designed to invoke the rugged style of Buffalo Bill himself, bold, complex, and cowboy.

Taste the West

According to master blender Brendan Cook, the goal was to create something unique within the Wyoming Whiskey portfolio. “We wanted to lean into the Buffalo Bill name and create a liquid we believe Bill would have enjoyed himself as he made his way across the American West,” said Cook. “It features notes of leather and tobacco, with the comforting sweetness we expect from Wyoming Whiskey.”

Tasting notes for Buffalo Bill Cody:

  • Color: Rich copper
  • Nose: Leather, Black Forest cake, toffee, honeyed almonds
  • Palate: Lemon cake with caramel nougat, milk chocolate, almond brittle and honey
  • Finish: Cherry and lemon purée, candied ginger, molasses, drying finish and tobacco

At 97 proof (48.5% ABV), this straight bourbon whiskey offers warmth and complexity with every pour. It’s the kind of drink you’d imagine being poured beside a campfire under a Wyoming star studded sky, warming you up from the inside out.
