Two New Dining Destinations Open This Winter at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

This December, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is elevating its culinary game with the debut of Tram Dock and Trapper’s, two brand-new restaurants that promise to enrich the après-ski and on-mountain dining experiences for locals and visitors. With menus crafted to highlight regional flavors and interiors inspired by the rich history of the resort, these dining destinations are set to become must-visit spots this winter.

Tram Dock: Après Perfection at the Base of the Aerial Tram

Opening in early December, Tram Dock replaces the RPK3/Nick Wilson spot at the base of the iconic Aerial Tram. Tram Dock offers a nostalgic nod to Jackson Hole’s pioneering past with its vintage-inspired decor, complete with a historic tram car serving as the entrance centerpiece. The four-sided bar and spacious outdoor patio provide the ultimate après-ski setting, complete with music, great food and signature drinks.

The menu is as dynamic as the slopes themselves, featuring shareable appetizers, hearty burgers, fresh salads and satisfying sandwiches, with options for kids as well. Treat yourself to a signature cocktail like the Wyoming Happy Meal or warm up with a steaming hot drink while basking in the vibrant atmosphere. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with après happy hours from 2 to 6 p.m.

Trapper’s: Elevated Dining at Sweetwater Gondola Mid-Station

For those venturing mid-mountain, Trapper’s, set to open in mid-December, provides a luxurious yet cozy escape. Situated at the Sweetwater Gondola Mid-Station, this upscale eatery combines the warmth of a mountain chalet with modern sophistication.

The menu showcases regional classics with an innovative twist, ensuring every bite is a testament to the flavors of Jackson Hole. Pair your meal with selections from an extensive beverage menu, all while enjoying sweeping mountain views. Trapper’s intimate and social atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to pause, refuel and soak in the beauty of the slopes.

Celebrating the Past and Future

Both Tram Dock and Trapper’s underscore Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s dedication to creating exceptional on- and off-slope experiences. Nicolas Sangros, Director of Food and Beverage at JHMR, shares the excitement: “We’re thrilled to welcome guests to these new dining destinations, where they can celebrate the history and future of Jackson Hole while enjoying a memorable meal with family and friends.”

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
