The Manliest Place in Town

If you stopped by the Snake River Brewery on Friday, then you probably noticed a film crew hustling around the restaurant in between beer sips.

The Travel Channel was in town shooting a segment on the Manliest Eateries in the U.S. Our own Brew Pub was recently named the Manliest Brew Pub in America by Men’s Health Magazine. It’s not hard to see why. I don’t think I’ve ever been there and seen more than one woman at the bar. Once you walk in past the “Man Rail,” any lady knows she’s entered a dude’s beer paradise.

Men’s Health held an online poll for 45 nominees in nine different restaurant categories earlier this summer. A total of five brew pubs were nominated. The winner took away big bragging rights and a chance to be featured on The Travel Channel. With the help of social media and word of mouth, SRBP came out on top, beating out places like the well-known Irish pub, Bukowski Tavern, in Boston.
But it’s not just the beer that brings in the boys — it’s the hearty food that Chef Ryan Brogan whips up. What guy would pass up the braised short ribs with a side of blue cheese tater tots to go along with a home-brewed Pako’s IPA? The Snake River Brew Pub certainly deserves this Manliest of Manly Honors not just in Jackson Hole, but throughout the country.
Look for it on The Travel Channel. Congrats to our … I mean … the local boys’ Brew Pub.
