Top 3 Things Not to Miss in Teton Village

There’s clearly no shortage of fun to be had at Teton Village — from world-class skiing to luxury spa experiences, live music, family activities and so much more. Just in case these things aren’t on your to-do list in Teton Village yet, let us point you in the right direction…

#1 – Gelato at Bodega

One of our favorite grab-and-go spots in Teton Village, Bodega is a part of the Fine Dining Group’s constellation of products and eateries in the valley. It’s always serving up great sandwiches, snacks and sloshies and now… gelato!

Bodega is now the proud new home to a Solato gelato machine. This sleek new piece of culinary tech serves up delectable icy treats at the push of a button. It’s a system that “eliminates the cumbersome supply chain of frozen and re-frozen ice cream, bringing immediate delight to the most discerning palate, while reducing the environmental impact of commercially produced ice cream.”

So if you’re craving some perfectly-crafted soft-serve goodness, pop into to Bodega and help yourself!

Also, in case you’re more interested in a spiked icy treat, Bodega is now offering reusable sloshie cups. Not only are they stylish and eco-friendly, but you’ll also get your first fill-up for free!

#2 – Espresso Martini at First Chair

As the name suggests, this slopeside micro-eatery by the team at Four Seasons Jackson Hole opens its doors at 7 a.m. — making sure plenty of treats and provisions are available to skiers from their first runs.

One specialty item that sets First Chair apart? A Grey Goose espresso martini machine, offering espresso martinis to go. That’s right; the perfect coffee-infused pour anytime you like. Is there a more ideal way to take a break between laps? We don’t think so.

First Chair is also serving up pastries, freshly brewed coffee, fresh-pressed juices, sandwiches, sweet snacks and boxed lunches. It’s a great one-stop shop in Teton Village to kick off your day or refuel… and indulge in a well-earned treat.

#3 – Bapp Pop-Up at Alpenhof Bistro

Mark your calendar for a Tuesday, and then set your compass straight to the Alpenhof Bistro in the heart of Teton Village. Weekly, they’re teaming up with the local Korean restaurant, Bapp, to host a ramen night that’s just bursting with Asian flavors.

It’s an unexpected combination, we’ll grant you that. But the Alps-themed hotel and restaurant has been a longtime local favorite spot for après ski festivities. While the normal menu at Alpenhof is certainly worth exploring — full of tantalizing choices like beer brats and classic fondue — we’re loving the pop-up ramen partnership! It delivers fresh, warming fare that feels like a real post-ski treat.

It’s certainly on our list of must-try spots for this winter!

(If you can’t swing by the Alpenhof on a Tuesday, don’t fret. You can always sample the delectable Korean dishes from Bapp at their downtown location, too.)

Bon appetit!

Melissa Thomasma

In full rebellion against the unpredictable climate of the Rocky Mountains, you can find Melissa on her Teton Valley deck grilling any month of the year. Typically in flip flops. Snow, rain, wind… no weather is too fierce. She’s a lover of peaches in any form, has a borderline addiction to arugula, and (strangely) has been known to drizzle soy sauce on pizza. But even more than she loves her stand mixer and cast iron collection, she adores cooking for her husband and two kids. When this Jackson Hole native isn’t scurrying around her messy kitchen, she’s probably outside floating the river, hiking, camping, fishing, or, well… grilling.
