A unique event is on the horizon that will spark interest in both mountain enthusiasts and foodies alike! Teton Mountain Lodge and Spur are hosting renowned mountaineer, photographer and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Jimmy Chin on Feb. 13. Experience his incredible stories of adventure, resilience and creativity as he shares highlights from his career.

This exclusive evening begins with a welcome reception in the Black Diamond Lobby Bar with drinks and appetizers from 4:30-5:30 p.m. followed by a fireside chat at 5:30 p.m. with Chin hosted by the visionary founder of Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Chin’s companion on his epic ski descent of Mt. Everest, Rob DesLauriers.

At 7 p.m. enjoy a special four-course dinner at Spur and take home a signed copy of Chin’s acclaimed book: There and Back: Photographs from the Edge. The menu is inspired by Chin’s daring spirit and epic journeys and will celebrate the intersection of exploration and indulgence. Spur Executive Chef Anthony Bruno crafts each dish to reflect the awe-inspiring landscapes and bold flavors that fuel the pursuit of greatness. Here is a taste of what you will taste:
Amuse Bouche: Compressed watermelon, quince paste, Spanish manchego, mint gelee, champagne vinaigrette pearls, laminated dough and toasted pistachio
Sea: Butter-poached spotted prawn, pan-seared Hokkaido scallop, pickled sea beans, heart of palm purée, puffed rice, fava beans, asparagus tips, fingerling lime, osteria caviar, dashi espuma
Land: Binchotan grilled Japanese A5 wagyu, braised buffalo cheek, butter-poached ramp bulbs, sunchoke chips, pommes souffle, tallow powder, cognac demi-glace foam, arugula mousse, fresh winter truffle
Sky: Confit squab leg, roasted squab breast, duck fat basted foie gras, beluga lentil pilaf, smoked fiddlehead fern, orange ash, lavender and pick peppercorn gremolata, crispy leeks, encapsulated ala orange sauce
Mountain: Milk chocolate, honey and huckleberry mousse entremets, dark chocolate crumble, tempered chocolate mini tree, carbonated sugar snow, matcha gelee, blue spirulina gastrique, juniper and lemon sponge, spruce tip smoke, nitrogen ice cream crumble and isomalt dome.
