What could be better than heading into the winter with a freezer stocked with wild Alaskan salmon? I think I speak for most Jackson folks when I say, high-quality fresh fish is always a treat to have in Wyoming.
Pride of Bristol Bay’s Wild Alaskan Salmon Fall Buying Club is open now for ordering through Aug. 31. Orders will be available for pick up on Sat., Oct. 1 at the Farm to Fork Festival, once fishermen have returned from a summer up north.
Bristol Bay is one of the last and largest sustainable sockeye fisheries on the planet, known for its high-quality fish, as well as its comprehensive and effective resources stewardship programs.
“Working with Slow Food in the Tetons has been such a great experience these last few years,” says Steve Kurian, Pride of Bristol Bay Owner & Captain of the FV Ava Jane. “We always feel really lucky to bring our wild salmon to communities like Jackson who appreciate good, clean, hearty nourishment, but to do it in a way that also supports an organization focused on growing a sustainable local food community all year long makes it extra special!”

Pride of Bristol Bay has been partnering with Slow Food in the Tetons since 2015, and a portion of the proceeds from the Fall Buying Club goes towards supporting local food in Jackson.

Through the fall buyer’s club, you can choose between filets or individual portions, sold in 20-pound cases for $15.99 to $16.99 per pound. Fish is all immediately flash frozen and vacuum sealed in order to maintain premium quality and freshness when you thaw and prepare it right here in the Tetons.
