Pizzeria Caldera, a favorite spot for Neapolitan pizza right off Town Square, is now Yeah Buddy Pizza, with the same menu and a fresh new vibe going into the spring.
Owner Joe Hurd, who bought the restaurant in May of last year, said they wanted to get their feet under them over the fall and winter before making any big changes, but that they had been hoping to rebrand with a new name to provide a memorable experience for visitors and locals alike. Aside from the name change, the menu is almost the same as it was pre ownership change, with tried and true favorites like stuffed mushrooms, garlic bread and creative thin-crust pizzas.
“We really wanted a name that felt connected to the place and what it feels like to be in Jackson,” he said. “When you’re in a place like Jackson Hole having fun climbing, skiing, or biking, you’re hootin’ and hollerin’ and saying ‘yeah buddy!’ Hopefully after you had a great day on the slopes or trails you can stop into our shop for some awesome pizza.”
Aside from the delicious thin-crust pizza, Hurd adds that the experience of Yeah Buddy is what he hopes will keep people coming back for more. “One of the main goals is to have great hospitality and a really friendly staff to make everyone feel welcome,” he said. Hurd explained that the original name didn’t stick with people like he hopes Yeah Buddy will. “We’re really happy with the local support and regulars that have been coming in, we hope to keep that up while putting ourselves out there a little more.”
You can stop in to Yeah Buddy Pizza for dine-in or takeout, or grab some of their popular pizzas par-baked and ready to throw in the oven at Aspen Market, Pearl Street Market, and Hungry Jack’s General Store.
