Order Avant Delivery’s Prepared Meals

They will deliver the prep work straight to your door.

Life is busy, and getting healthy meals on the table isn’t an easy (or affordable) feat these days.

Avant Delivery, a subscription service that launched in 2020 in Jackson to provide reusable packaging for takeout orders, is now offering their own meal prep delivery service. The business is offering a rotating menu of prepared meals delivered straight to your door.

A membership-based service, Avant’s goals are to merge sustainability and convenience, providing locals with options that are fresh, healthy, and less expensive than ordering take-out. The ordering window is open until Monday night at 8 p.m., with meals like lemon pepper chicken ($13), apple harvest salad ($10), and winter sausage and squash pasta ($13), among others.

Partnering with local producers like Vertical Harvest and Lockhart Cattle Company ensures meals are fresh, while supporting other local businesses.

“It’s been nerve-racking to see others in the food industry struggle to keep up with the volume while being short staffed during the pandemic,” says Avant’s Culinary Director Jen Wassmer. “Over 50-percent of our team has or still works in the restaurant industry so we know the struggle to keep up with demand especially in a tourist town while being understaffed. By pre-ordering prepared meals from Avant, you can save time. We are also looking to expand to corporate offices in Jackson so that our friends in the community do not have to extend their lunch hours just to get something quick to eat in the town during bust tourist seasons.”

Avant subscriptions have proved to be a great way to feed families juggling multiple schedules and professionals looking for convenience during a busy work week. It’s also an easy way to make healthy, wholesome meals accessible for older folks who aren’t up to cooking quite as much.

The rotating menu was designed with variety in mind, with vegan and vegetarian options as well as low carb options. “We are aiming to be very accommodating to those with dietary restrictions or requests,” adds Wassmer. “Each menu item will prompt you with different add-on options or omit options to satisfy each customer and their needs.”

How it works:

1. Residents sign up for a membership with Avant for $20 a month. This includes access to meal prep and weekly delivery as well as the to-go packaging network with restaurants and coffee shops.

2. An Avant member will drop off a reusables bin at each member’s house.

3. Members can order meals weekly to be delivered Monday evenings.

4. Members put their dirty containers in the reusables bin. Bins are picked up weekly on Mondays and replaced with a clean bin and meals if they have been ordered.
