New Sidewinders Open on the West Bank

Sidewinders American Grill, a longtime local favorite for casual and creative pub food, just opened up a second location in Wilson, off the Village Road in the building that was formerly the Q Roadhouse.

The new restaurant, which will keep the same menu as the one in town and also open at 11:30 a.m. and serve through dinner, fills a gap in casual restaurants open for lunch and dinner on the West Bank. “We noticed that there was a hole out there as far as restaurant offerings, especially for the lunch crowd and families,” says Nicole Davis, Blue Collar Restaurant Group’s regional president. “There aren’t a lot of casual spots out there and many of them close at 3 p.m. on the West Bank.”

The new Sidewinders has a game room for kids as well as a private dining space available for groups to reserve. While the Jackson location has always been a family-friendly spot, the new West Bank restaurant is definitely prioritizing space for families and big groups. Slightly more seating indoors and a large outdoor patio area that will debut this spring (lawn games included), make the new Sidewinders an excellent gathering spot for lunch, dinner and aprés. “Sidewinders in town serves the masses; working people, families, tourists,” says Davis. “We’re excited to bring that fun, casual dining atmosphere to the West Bank.”

The team is looking forward to incorporating a few rotating menu specials for the West Bank restaurant, and is excited to offer a different selection of draft beers and wines than the town location, so folks can expect some variation in drink selection out in Wilson. “We’re looking forward to a really fun aprés environment,” says Davis. “The bar has already been really busy since we opened, which I think will be a big draw in the summer.”

Sidewinders West Bank is open Monday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. on at 2550 Moose Wilson Road.
