New Cafe FRX Serves Up Burritos, Hot Dogs and Pocket Bacon

There’s a new coffee shop in town, and it won’t break the bank.

FRX (pronounced “Frank’s”) opened this October in the cafe spot below StillWest. The vibrant new space offers a creative menu that features everything from breakfast burritos, salads and chili dogs, to bowls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, pocket bacon and grab-n-go candy for the chairlift.

The coffee shop is within spitting distance of Snow King Mountain, making it an ideal spot to stop in for lunch or a snack if you’re lapping the town hill. Owner Cameron “Frank” Page, a self-proclaimed “unapologetic ski bum,” wanted to run a cafe that locals could frequent all the time, even those on a budget.

It is a ski town after all, so it’s no surprise that the breakfast burritos sell out quickly. Three options include La Niña (bacon, eggs, queso, and rice), El Niño (pulled pork, queso, and rice), and the I’m So Broke Burrito (just queso and rice for $4.75) are all made to order. Dojo Dawgs (hot dogs) are available for $4 or two for $7, and can be topped with slaw, queso, or chili. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, FRX also sells salads, yogurt, and fruit, among tons of other fresh-baked treats like banana bread, cinnamon rolls, and cookies.

We wanted to create a place where we’d want to go, somewhere you can get lunch without spending $30. This is a spot for everyone to come in and get caffeinated and fed at an affordable price.

Aside from the great location and unique menu options, FRX has a raffle going for a pair of Faction Skis. Stop in, drop your Instagram handle in the bowl, and follow FRX on Instagram to be entered to win. Page says they’ll continue to raffle off skis and snowboards throughout the season as a fun way to engage with customers as they come in.

FRK is open every day of the week from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will keep operations running throughout the entire off season.
