A Local’s Taste: Art Gallery Owner Shares Her Favorite Places to Dine in Jackson Hole

As an international art consultant based in wine country, Linda Cordair knows a thing or two about dining out. Along with her husband Quent, Linda owns Quent Cordair Fine Art in Napa, California and in Jackson, which opened last year. The gallery founded in 1996, specializes in romantic realist paintings and sculptures.

I love what I do. Being around uplifting artwork every day and finding permanent homes for it makes me very happy. We opened our Jackson location late last year and absolutely love living here. You can’t beat the views, outdoor life and wonderful people.

Since moving to Jackson last year, Linda has enjoyed exploring the local culinary scene. Here are a few of her top choices for dining out in Jackson Hole.

What is your favorite restaurant to dine out in Jackson? Any favorite dishes?

We have enjoyed many delicious meals since moving to Jackson. We don’t have a single favorite but enjoy Coelette and Whistling Grizzly for consistently great meals.

I also love the tartare at Gather

Any go-to take-out places for take out?

Hand-Fired Pizza, Miazgas, and Big Hole BBQ. All three offer a variety of great take-out food.

What is your favorite specialty cocktail or beverage in town?

I’m often on the hunt for an unusual cocktail. Most recently, I enjoyed one at Teton Tiger, a Zen Gato: vodka, yellow chartreuse, jasmine tea syrup, fresh squeezed lime juice, soda, and Regan’s no.6 orange bitters.

What is your favorite lunch and dinner spot and go-to dish?

I enjoy grabbing a quick lunch from Cafe Genevieve or Persephone as they are located right behind our art gallery. I get the mac and cheese at Cafe Genevieve and Croque Madame at Persephone.

If you were to go out for a treat, what’s your go to and where?

I love a good Blizzard from Dairy Queen, anything from Persephone, and the cannoli at Miazgas

Anything you’re looking forward to with regards to dining this fall?

It’s soup and chili season. Bring on all the comfort food!
