Let’s Dish About Great Gifts

Use this holiday gift guide to procure something special from Jackson Hole!

Jackson is more than just a winter wonderland — it’s a community filled with creativity, craftsmanship and outdoor spirit. Whether you’re shopping for craft cocktail-er, a fashionista, a health and wellness guru or of course, the foodie in your life, this guide will help you uncover unique and meaningful gifts. Happy Holidays and happy gifting!

For the craft cocktail champion

Jackson is brimming with local brews, wine and spirit options. A 6-er from any of our local breweries: Roadhouse, Snake River Brewing or a gift certificate to StillWest’s tasting room will keep your beer hounds happy! A bottle of Wyoming Whiskey makes an excellent host gift (especially when your host shares!). Visit their Barrell Room right off Town Square to taste and pick your perfect bottle. JH Stillworks is the perfect landing zone for your vodka and gin drinkers, or even an avid sloshie consumers. Grab a bottle or sloshie gift certificate to wet the present-giving palate, or check out their gift boxes for something extra special. If wine is how your gift receiver likes to dine, Jackson Hole Winery’s wine will be an all-star gift. Visit their tasting room in Town Square or TLS to buy individual bottles or there are discounted bundles available online. TLS is always a great stop to stock your own festive fleet of beverages for the Holidays. Don’t know what you want? Their staff is super knowledgeable and helpful when making your selections for your soiree.

AUTHOR’S TIP: add a salty snack to your beverage gift with a bag of Jackson Hole Chip Co chips. Truffled Butter flavor and Jalapeno Cheddar are top picks in my book!

For the fashionista

Dishing Midnight Lunch hat
Our personal Dishing-esque trucker hat from Midnight Lunch has gotten tons of complements around town.

If it’s all about looking good for your giftee, get ready for plenty of suggestions! A custom-made trucker hat from Midnight Lunch’s hat bar will have them feeling so suave. Give yourself plenty of time to customize as they have so many treasures to add to their hats. Terra on the Square is a great spot to select anything from a pair of cozy shoes to a unique head to toe look (for both ladies and kids!). Made, Mountain Dandy and their new Wilson store, M, is a great stop for fun stocking stuffers, jewelry, hats and clever baby onesies. Mountain Dandy’s selection of men’s wallets are surefire man-pleasers, if you’re guy needs a new wallet.

AUTHOR’S TIP: all of the mentioned retailers boast much more than the suggested items! Give yourself ample time to shop in person or select your goods via their online stores.

For the health and wellness guru

If your giftee is a fitness buff, consider class punch cards to VIM, Home Yoga or Inversion Yoga. Each fitness studio offers a little something different. For those who love a variety of work out opportunities, go with a VIM punch card. For those who like a deep dive soulful yoga experience, we suggest Home Yoga, and don’t miss their small and beautiful retail section. If you’re giftee likes yoga, but also to pump up their muscles with pilates or high energy sculpt classes, Inversion Yoga is a great place for them to land. Inversion offer’s an on-site cafe as well, perfect for a little energy input after energy output.

If skiing is the “fitness,” of choice, a day with High Mountain Heli may just make you, your gift receiver’s very favorite person! Nothing says deck the halls like jet fuel and untouched lines in the backcountry! For those less into beaming up into the ski at a fast pace, lift tickets to either Jackson Hole Mountain Resort or Snow King Mountain will not disappoint. Both mountains offer steeps, deeps and have great mountain schools for those who love coaching. Go the distance and load up their ski pack with Naughty Fruit before they head to the hill.

AUTHOR’S Offer: if you purchase a day with High Mtn Heli, I’m totally available to tag along;)

For those who want to beautify from the outside in, Nurse Jayme Aesthetics, in Thayne, offers a full menu of facials, peels and injectables. She also is a retailer for incredible skin care lines for your giftee who loves a nighttime skin routine. Want a facial and a massage? Pretty Bird Aesthetics is your go-to for both a rub down and a face reboot. A highly recommended package? Get the mini facial and foot-rub combo to soothe those ski boot feet, and chair lift wind chapped skin! If you’re looking to gift an all-around spa experience, the Grand View Spa at Snow King Resort will allow your giftee to relax, recharge and enjoy a full-service serene experience.

And now for the foodies

For the home chefs, we have so many ideas to keep them cheffing for you. Teton Slow Foods partnered up with New West KnifeWorks, offering the Petty Knife. A thoughtful gift that keeps their chopping refined and gives back to our community as well. Is cheese their hobby? A raclette grill from Food Shed Idaho will allow your giftee to indulge in their favorite fromage anytime. And while shopping in Idaho, don’t miss Maison for tinned fish or wine to treat your foodie friends, or a one of a kind, “sandwich tour” Figgie’s t-shirt or packaged good to go! Got someone who lives for pepperoni and crust? An Ooni pizza oven from Teton Rental is a great gift to get them perfectly pizza’ed!

AUTHOR’S TIP: Ooni’s are awesome for on-the-go tailgate pizza-ing for sports or parking lot apres parties, camping and more!

If your giftee is very high on your nice list, a Traegar Grill or smoker from Teton Rental will have them singing jingle bells all year long! For those who need to always stay caffeinated, bags of coffee from Snake River Roasters or Alpine Air Coffee make excellent stocking stuffers. Another under the radar spot for fun stocking stuffers or friend-gifts is Basecamp in Wilson’s retail area. They have unique apparel, hat pins, cards and more. Plus, it’s always a great spot to grab a bottle of wine while doing your shopping. For the foodies who want a night off from cooking, a gift certificate to treat them to a meal or two from Down Home Eats makes for a cozy at-home experience that fills the belly.

And if you’re a last-minute shopper (like this author) grab some fun shwag from the Mangy Moose‘s shop when out skiing at the Village or on their online store. A custom gift basket by Jackson Hole Market Place is always a winner. Or for those who you have no idea what to get for, a gift certificate with either Blue Collar Restaurant Group or Fine Dining Restaurant Group is always a home run since it comes with multiple restaurant options.

Happy Gifting!
