Texas-based company plans to split time between Jackson and Austin, offering table scapes and decor for parties of all sizes.
Brooke Greer came first came into being a resource for parties with a catering business she still runs in Texas. Many of the parties she was catering for needed more. So five years ago, Table Manner was born.
The business is a rental company that can transform tables with specialty table top inventory of all kinds. “Basically we rent anything related to food and beverage and table decor,” she says.
Greer, an regular visitor in Jackson, realized that the juxtaposition of when Austin is busy with large events (in the winter) and Jackson (the summer) would make it a perfect place to run this business year-round.
So this fall, she made a plan to officially operate Table Manners in Jackson as well as Austin. “We are known for offering really great service,” she said. “We always hand polish all of the glassware; you won’t find old lipstick on it. And we take super good care of everything.”
Greer’s catering background allows her to know what hosts and planners really need. Table Manners has a very wide variety of rentals, and many tend to be very earthy. “We like things with texture,” she said. “We always trying to mix in texture with neutral colors and a lot of people want to add a pop of color.”

In the current inventory, there are 30 styles of plates, 20 styles of flatware, 40 styles of glassware, adding up to over 150,000 pieces. They also rent chargers, napkin rings, salt cellars, and will custom order for people any time. They also offer custom embroidery when a client may want to keep certain pieces.
Rentals are priced by the piece and can be coordinated for parties of any size. The team at Table Manners can help design the table scape as well as set up the table, deliver and pick up dirty pieces, so there is no need to clean. While they assume the bulk of their business will take place in the summer in Jackson, they are open to proposals for work anytime.
