Juice Up Your New Year

juicing

It’s the new year, so it’s time for a new you. Whether you’re looking to make a complete change in your life or just enhance your existing self, there is a solution: juicing.

Yes, juicing has been all the craze lately, seeming to be just another health fad. But, it’s a fad that is here for a reason, and is definitely one of the healthiest things you can do for your body.

Almost every health authority recommends getting 6 to 8 servings of vegetables and fruits per day, which is not the most realistic expectation. Thanks to juicing, that can now be achieved because it helps you absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Juicing also allows you to consume an ideal amount of vegetables in an efficient manner so that you don’t actually have to sit down at the dinner table and eat tons of fruits and vegetables to get the required nutrients.

Another main benefit of juicing is the vast amount of live enzymes, which renew the tissues of the body. Juicing “heals disease through regeneration of the cells and is quickly assimilated producing a surprising vital energy lift.”

The downside of juicing is the expense. The amount of fruits and veggies needed to juice can be hard on your wallet, so I consider juicing a treat. Also, the amount of juice one fruit or veggie yields is hardly enough to suffice for a full serving. Most of the time, I just press my own orange and grapefruit juice at home to get my vitamin C. Because home juicing is so expensive, I prefer to go to restaurants and cafes to get my vegetable juices. Jackson has a great selection of places to get fresh, cold-pressed juices, with some offering juice cleanse packages to jumpstart your new year. Visit these places to get delicious, organic, healthy juices that will save you time and money.
