Healthy Being Adds More to Menu

Sometimes I think: There is nothing better than delicious food. But in all honestly, there is. Delicious food that is also healthy and really good for you is even better.

Healthy Being Juicery and Organic Cafe combines all of the above. While offering all organic, almost all homemade and many local ingredients, the cafe provides quality food that is incredibly good for you and tasty.

The cafe recently decided to expand its offerings to give customers more choice. Now offering coffee, as well as a daily hot soup and many warm dishes, there is something to please every pallet.

I recently went to a tasting of the new offerings with fellow writer Jenn Rice, and we were blown away by the food. Every dish we tried, we loved. Here are some highlights.

The veggie burger comes with homemade fermented ketchup (amazing), house-made pickles and has been a favorite on the menu.

There are four different varieties of savory toast on the new menu. They can be served on a gluten-free, homemade, live seed bread, a sprouted 7 grain or Persephone’s multigrain. I am obsessed with the Argentinian garlic toast (on right).

They offer three different varieties of sweet toast, too. This one is the apple pie, with raw sprouted almond butter, apple, raw salted caramel, cinnamon and chia seeds.

In addition to all these options, Healthy Being has many seasonal items on the juice and smoothie menus. They have and expanded seating area, too. I can’t wait to go back.

Ask the staff about the soup and toast lunch special option! It is a great deal to eat in-house or take to go.
