Spooky Season has crept into Jackson, and the valley is buzzing with tricks, treats and tunes. From candy-fueled celebrations to costume contests that bring out the most creative (and creepy) locals, there’s no shortage of Halloween fun. Whether you’re dancing the night away at a DJ-fueled party or sneaking a few extra pieces of chocolate between events, October in Jackson promises plenty of festive chills and community thrills.
Treats
Be the most popular house on the block by dolling out goodies from Mursells Sweets Shop. Mursells has a wide selection of nostalgic throw back candies like Pop Rocks, Big League Chew and Idaho Spuds. Mursells also has their own branded candies, perfect for a home candy bowl- you’re going to need something to snack on while being at the Trick or Treaters’ beck and call! Head to their Gaslight Alley location to stock up, or check out M on the Westbank, which has a dedicated wall to Mursell’s specialties.

Don’t wait for the holiday to satisfy your sugar cravings! There are plenty of spots to indulge in fall-inspired sweets. Head to Hagaan Daz on Town Square for a pumpkin spice dazzler sundae, milkshake or waffle cone! The Dazzler is a layered sundae featuring dulce de leche ice cream, caramel sauce, crunchy cinnamon Biscoff cookies and pumpkin spice dust, all topped with whipped cream. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookie at Pearl Street Bagels is so good that they carry it year-round. Pair it with a pumpkin-spiced latte for an extra pumpkin-y and caffeinated boost. Snake River Roasting Co.’s Halloween donuts, made by Provisions, are always a go-to to get into the sugary spooky spirit. Persephone Bakery is serving an array of fall-inspired treats, like pumpkin sugar cookies and seasonal lattes in flavors such as cinnamon orange blossom, at all three locations.

Hosting your own spooky soiree? Load up on adult-friendly beverages at The Liquor Store and Jackson Hole Marketplace, both of which have a large selection of wine, spirits, canned cocktails and fall-inspired brews. And if you’re headed to a different house party, kill two ghouls with one stone and shop and curate a custom gift basket at the Marketplace to make your host feel extra special.
