Foxy Cakes Finds fun in Baking

Plain vanilla cakes that simply taste good are so yesterday. People are constantly one-upping celebrations and parties with custom-made confections that make a statement either about the event or person it is designed for. And Jackson’s newest baker, Roxanne Riley, is here to help turn your vision and dream into a sweet reality.

With her business, Foxy Cakes, Riley is transforming everyday cakes into a personalized masterpiece for her clients. The business began when she made a cake for a friend. Everyone at the party raved about it and soon, other attendees were asking to pay her to create cakes for upcoming events.

Riley, who is a Pilates instructor at Core Pilates by day, jumped at the chance to capitalize on her creativity and started the business. “I love how stoked people get when they see them,” she says. “I want them all to be as close to perfection as possible.”

The self-taught baker has made everything from a tie-dyed caked to a mermaid to a cutthroat-trout in her designs. She is enthusiastic to tackle anything a client may come up with and has ideas if people want inspiration. Her favorite is anything loaded with sprinkles.

The cakes and frostings come in a wide variety of flavors and start at just $45 for a bundt cake. She has experimented on wedding cakes and hopes to offer that service soon as well. You can order on her website with as much notice as you can spare.
