Eat Local this Thanksgiving with Vertical Harvest

Farmers markets have shut down for the season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t shop local for your Thanksgiving dinner.

Vertical Harvest is offering their first ever Thanksgiving box in partnership with Morning Dew Mushrooms, Canewater Farm, and Avant Delivery to bring fresh, locally grown veggies right to your holiday table.

Kyra Foley, marketing coordinator at Vertical Harvest Farms, says that it is important for the growhouse to offer a Thanksgiving box, since farmer’s markets have ended and Slow Food farm stand is taking a break until winter.

Each box will include:

  • Petite Green Blend –  Vertical Harvest
  • Teton Tomatoes – Vertical Harvest
  • Live Rock Chive Microgreens – Vertical Harvest
  • 1/2 pound Assorted Mushrooms – Morning Dew Mushrooms
  • Onions – Canewater Farm
  • Carrots – Canewater Farm
  • Recipe ideas courtesy of Vertical Harvest

Pick up will be November 24 from 2-5 p.m. at Vertical Harvest Farms (155 W Simpson Ave), or delivered through Avant Delivery if you select the sustainably packaged box.

Vertical Harvest will take orders through Wednesday, November 17th and expects to sell out quickly, so we recommend reserving early.

You can order the sustainably packaged box delivered right to your doorstep in partnership with Avant Delivery for $100, or the standard packaging option picked up at Vertical Harvest for $80. Contents of the box are all the same.

Looking for a local turkey? You can still reserve a local, pasture-raised turkey from JH Buffalo Meat.
