DDD: Sidewinders and Pinky G’s Episodes

ddd

As you probably know, the town was abuzz recently when Guy Fieri and his Food Network television show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives came to Jackson to see how we like to cook and eat. He and his crew filmed six restaurants and a handful of dishes from each restaurant to see if they had what it takes to be showcased on national television. The details of if and when these episodes would even air was vague; the producers told the restaurant owners if their episodes did air, it would be anywhere from three to six months. Well, that time has come. If you are looking forward to watching Fieri eat some culinary delights on your television screen then this is for you, however, if you’ve been waiting to watch and you find out that it is not available with your television service you may want to have a quick look at some dish network tv packages and see what you can get, so you are not the only one sitting down and salivating over this food.

On Friday, Sidewinders American Grill will air as the season’s premiere episode at 8 p.m., titled, “Stuffed and Twisted.” Some of the items that Guy requested and cooked with owner Joe Rice were the Sidewinders pretzel, chicken pot pie, and french onion soup.

Sidewinders believes they were chosen to be on the show for many reasons, first and foremost because the majority of their food is homemade. Secondly, Joe Rice’s story of how he created and built Sidewinders, along with his many other restaurants, is one of rags to riches.

Tune into the show to see what dishes Guy and Joe will cook together, what they have in common, and to see more of Joe’s story.

Sidewinders is having a watch party this Friday at 8 p.m.

Pinky G’s Pizzeria will also be making their DDD debut at 8 p.m. July 25. Join owner Tom Fay and the rest of the Jackson pizza lovers at Pinky’s that night to watch the episode, “Old Standards, New Styles.” If you can’t make it to the party, the episode will air again on at 11 p.m. July 26.
