Calico Offers Fundraising Dinner for Teton Adaptive Sports

Many of the nonprofit organizations in Jackson Hole rely on large summer events to raise money to support their community efforts. Teton Adaptive Sports typically has an annual Italian wine pairing dinner in the summers, but since larger gatherings are not an option in the near future, the organization is getting creative and working with local chefs to offer an alternative.

Teton Adaptive Sports, which strives to offer outdoor recreational sports and opportunities for people with disabilities, has created an Everyone’s a Winner, Chicken Dinner at-home event with Calico. Chef Cody Allen will prepare the restaurant’s famous organic bar chicken dish, which will be served with a Caesar salad and your choice of a paired white or red wine. The $85 meal will serve two (and can be ordered in increments).

Calico Chicken
Calico’s organic bar chicken is perfectly roasted with a lemony vinegrette and artichokes.

Dinner orders for this fundraiser are encouraged as soon as possible, but taken until Monday, May 25. The dinner will be ready to be picked up on Friday, May 29 in two convenient locations: in town at Rendezvous River Sports from 2-4 p.m. or on the west bank at Calico, from 5-7 p.m.

“The more people we can help connect to the need to support each other’s opportunities to struggle, overcome and repeat, the more people will stop seeing folks with disabilities as different, sad, done achieving and start seeing them as people with just as much potential and fire as the rest of us, maybe more,” said Christy Fox, executive director of Teton Adaptive Sports.
