It has been eight and a half years since fitness enthusiast Julie Guttormson founded and opened VIM, in Jackson. A fitness studio bursting with enthusiasm and energy, Guttormson’s vision was to create “classes for the masses,” a place where all ages and fitness levels would feel welcome, safe, confident and strong. VIM offers fun, motivating workouts, built on scientific and educational foundation, led by a crew of certified, and motivated coaches.
VIM provides a home to not only sweat and strengthen in, but a place to build community and camaraderie, a family cheering each other on. The Jackson based studio offers a wide selection of classes including strength, barre, yoga, mobility, pilates, pre and postnatal, rebounding, authentic indoor rowing and Schwinn® indoor cycling.

We asked the Schwinn® Indoor Cycling Master Trainer and mother of two where some of her favorite foods can be found around town.
What is your favorite restaurant to dine-out in Jackson?
Local Restaurant when it’s just my husband and I, and the Snake River Brew Pub when we’re with the kids (the Brew Pub is closed this winter for remodeling).
What is your favorite specialty cocktail, or favorite beverage in town?
S-Turns from Snake River Roasting Co. is my LIFE! Teton Tiger‘s Bombay Buck made with tequila, and the Earned It IPA and the seasonal Riot Punch IPA both from Snake River Brewery.
What is your favorite restaurant for take-out? What restaurants have been your go-to since COVID-19?
Mostly Teton Tiger with a handful of Orsetto, Sweet Cheeks Meats and Pearl Street Bagels.
What is your favorite spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner?
Cafe Genevieve is a family favorite for breakfast or brunch. On Fridays when the kids are home from school together I often bring them their favorite pastry from Picnic.
What is your favorite food? And what restaurant serves it best?
Any meal I don’t have to cook. Seriously! I crave the delicious healthy options at Healthy Being Juicery to a burger at The Bird. The pandemic has me cooking more than ever and it doesn’t bring me joy. I truly cook to keep my family alive, not because I enjoy it! So not getting out to enjoy all the great food we have in Jackson more regularly has been a bit painful.
