What inspired you to enter the business of hair and make up? What’s your background before Jackson?

From a young age, I was captivated by the enchanting world of hair and makeup. As a little girl, I eagerly embraced the opportunity to style my sister’s hair and glam up her friends, as well as my mom. Interestingly, even at the tender age of 13, I was already experimenting with makeup on family and friends. While my mom anticipated a riot of sparkles and blue eyeshadow, the reality was quite the opposite; my creations were surprisingly refined, showcasing a soft glam that was impressively sophisticated for my age. My experience spans from being a trainer for MAC Cosmetics, working in hair and makeup for Fox News for 14 years, owning an on-demand company, and then venturing out on my own as an entrepreneur.

Have you styled anyone famous?

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of doing hair and makeup for rock stars, models, news anchors, dignitaries and even presidential campaigns. Yet, one of my most memorable encounters was with Ozzy Osbourne, who, rather than seeking the spotlight, was genuinely interested in learning about my life, asked lots of questions about my family life, my daughter and my aspirations. Very cool! Loved dropping the f bomb, but with sincerity in it!

Another unforgettable moment occurred with Dave Navarro. I had just splurged on my first pair of Chanel goggles, and to my surprise, he asked if I would trade them for his. Without a moment’s hesitation, I looked him in the eye and said, “No.” His reaction was priceless; he burst out laughing and remarked, “You know what? You’re very cool. I like you.” I think he appreciated my confidence—while many girls might have been starstruck at the thought of trading sunglasses with Dave Navarro.

Take me through your wedding hair and makeup process

Your wedding day is one of the most meaningful moments of your life, and I believe your bridal look should reflect that significance. That’s why I take the time to personally connect with each of my brides—to ensure we’re the right fit and to truly understand your vision. My signature style is all about softness, movement, timeless beauty and effortless elegance. I’m often asked about my approach to updos: I specialize in chic, romantic buns and softly styled updos that strike the perfect balance between polished and undone. While I appreciate the charm of styles like French braids, I typically avoid them, as I feel they lend themselves more to a youthful, casual aesthetic rather than the elevated sophistication I aim to create for your big day.

I never leave the bride; I am her artist for the day. You never know what can happen and that’s my name! I’ve had to re-do a few brides from first looks with grandparents, Father, and of course the groom. Oh, and a windstorm at the top of a mountain!

Outside of weddings and celebrities, what other type of styling do you enjoy?

There’s something particularly special about editorial work that really ignites my passion. Collaborating with photographers, stylists, directors , makeup, hair, models, the setting, etc. It takes a village! The vision for the shoot is incredibly inspiring. As of today…. My favorite has been collaborating with Diamond Cross Ranch. The team was AMAZING…. There’s something about those cowboys!

It’s thrilling to bring those concepts to life and see how everything comes together in the final images. Creating unique looks that push boundaries is simply amazing; it’s all about leveling up my creativity and delivering something truly extraordinary.

Ok, now let’s dish about eats! What are your go-to spots around town?

My go-to spot for meeting a girlfriend for coffee, breakfast or lunch is definitely Persephone. It’s just so charming and quaint, making it the perfect place to relax and catch up. I also love Bin 22 for its super casual vibe; they have great food, delicious appetizers, and great cocktails.

Recently, my favorite new date night spot has become Wild Sage. The food there is incredible, and you can really see the attention to detail in every dish. Chef Hugo is extremely talented and personable—he makes a point to come out and greet every guest, which adds a lovely touch to the dining experience.

I’m a big fan of Italian cuisine and I love Glorietta. I’ve personally found it to be very authentic, especially after learning to make homemade Italian dishes from my nonna. And here’s my huge confession: I love a big piece of sheet cake with all of the sugary icing. Everyone knows I have to have the end piece—delicious and sinful!

What’s your favorite meal of the day?

I love dinner. It’s my favorite meal for sure. I will go to the market daily for fresh ingredients for the night’s meal.

Who cooks in your household and what’s their specialty?

I’m the cook and I absolutely love anything Italian. I’m known for my sauce, meatballs and pesto.

What is your guilty pleasure meal?

My guilty pleasure is definitely New York style authentic pizza—the kind where you can’t even move after eating a few slices!

Since your a glam-guru what’s your going out look and routine? Where in town do you like to shop? What products do you love?

I’ve got my own little style vibe going on! I’m all about those flared jeans and a cool jacket, and I love switching it up with cowboy boots or high heels. Heading to Target is one of my favorite things—I love mixing and matching t-shirts with jackets to create chic looks that anyone can rock. You don’t need to spend a fortune to look fabulous! I enjoy adding that personal touch with some standout jewelry. Last year, I splurged on a custom pair of earrings and a beaded bandanna from Lillie, who owns JH Beadwork. I’m super in love with her work and vibe. Honestly, I’m all about blending my own pieces to make a unique statement. My favorite shopping is Womenfolk and the pop-up shops from Rifle Vintage Clothing. And when it’s time to get fancy, vintage gowns are my secret weapon—they add that perfect touch of timeless elegance! And…. No one else has them.
