Bike enthusiast Tim Hoff opened Hoff’s Bikesmith in April 2011. As Hoff describes it, he started from zero, with no back stock and only enough money to purchase a few extra parts and some tools. He even sold his mountain bike and his snowmobile to pay his first month’s rent.
Today, Hoff’s Bikesmith, located at 265 West Broadway, is an all-service, factory suspension center, specializing in custom fabrication, expert repairs, and restoration. While Hoff’s offers a wide selection of inventory and rental services, the main focus is on craftsmanship. From tune-ups to major overhauls, the technicians at Hoff’s can do it all.
There’s nothing we can’t fix in our repair shop. Bikes never die with us. No matter if it’s a Huffy or a twenty thousand dollar custom bike, it’s the same to us.
Tim Hoff, owner of Hoff’s Bikesmith

Whether you’re looking for something new or used Hoff’s Bikesmith offers a wide selection of new road bikes, mountain bikes, kids bikes, fat bikes, and electronic bikes, as well as used bikes and parts. Hoff’s has a variety of bike accessories, shoes, clothing, and other outdoor merchandise including skateboards and pow surfers. And while you’re perusing the shop try a cup of Hoff’s Tune-up coffee for $1, a collaboration with local Snake River Roasting Co., or grab an 11 ounce bag to bring home.
We love working on bikes and we love riding bikes. It’s in our blood.

We asked this local business owner and father of twins what some of his favorite foods and places to dine-in and take-out around Jackson are.
What is your favorite restaurant to dine-out in Jackson?
King Sushi. I am a little biased because I have a roll named after me [the Hoff Roll is unagi and avocado rolled in rice paper, and topped with Hamachi and lemon], but I love the ambiance, there are always friendly faces, and the quality of food is always delicious.
What is your favorite speciality cocktail, or favorite beverage in town?
The margarita at The Stagecoach Bar. I come down the pass from riding and it’s refreshing with a fresh orange muddled in it. There’s nothing better on a hot day.
If we’re talking craft cocktail, Chad Taylor always makes the best cocktails. His Old Fashioned at The Rose is my favorite. It is made in a barrel and aged. It’s just perfect-very strong but always really delicious.
What restaurants have been your go-to since COVID-19 for take-out?
Trio, Glorietta, and King Sushi. I love the BLT soup from Trio and they usually do a really awesome fish special. I like the roasted chicken and pork. I’m usually the chicken or pork and my wife is the fish. Glorietta‘s spaghetti and meatballs is spot on. And there’s the cavatelli pasta with the fried sage and brown butter. From King we usually order a bunch of sashimi and nigiri and the Hoff Roll always.
What is your favorite spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner?
The best breakfast in town is Nora’s. For lunch I’d have to say Annie’s Thai Kitchen. Her food is so good but it’s spicy. I’m a number two, I used to be a three or four guy, then I turned 40 and everything went downhill. For dinner King Sushi and Glorietta are my favorite two spots. I love the old cabin at King, it brings back old memories of Shades, and being at the sushi bar with everyone talking, it’s social, it’s rad. It’s like Cheers, a local spot where everyone knows you.
What is your favorite food? And what restaurant serves it best?
My favorite meal is lasagna. Straight-up handmade with 10 layers. If it’s done right, it’s the best. Fine Dining Restaurant Group has been doing some good to-go lasagna. I’ve stopped by Bin22 to pick up a veggie or meat lasagna with a bottle of wine to-go.
