The Jackson Hole Farmers Market Returns this Weekend

Summer in Jackson Hole comes with a few unmistakable rituals: long days, mountain views, dinner outside and, of course, Saturday mornings at the Jackson Hole Farmers Market.

The beloved summer market returns to Jackson Town Square on Saturdays from June 20 and runs through Sept. 26, bringing fresh local food, live music and plenty of community energy to the heart of town. The markets run from 8 a.m. to noon, making them an easy stop for breakfast, weekend shopping or a leisurely lap around the Square.

Even More Markets this Summer

Also new this summer, market season includes Thursday evening in Teton Village on the Commons from July 2 to Aug. 20. The evening markets run from 4 to 7 p.m., offering a fresh way to wind down the day, stock up for dinner or enjoy the Village in full summer style.

A Must-Visit Stop for Food Lovers

For food lovers, the Jackson Hole Farmers Market is a summer must. The market is almost entirely food and drink, with vendors offering everything from seasonal produce, flowers and fresh-baked goods to meat, cheese, eggs, honey, coffee, tea, prepared foods, sauces and preserves. Whether you’re passing through and want locally crafted bites for the journey or you’re a local counting down to your favorite fresh produce, you’ll find what you seek — and probably much more — at the market.

Every booth reflects the region’s farms, ranches, bakers, makers and food entrepreneurs, giving shoppers a chance to taste the season and support local producers at the same time. If there’s a vendor that you’re looking to hit first, or perhaps just curious about who will be selling their goods, you can now visit the Jackson Hole Farmers Market website and see a full vendor map for both the Saturday and Thursday markets.

Fresh Produce, Local Goods and Summer Flavor

One of the best parts of the Jackson Hole Farmers Market is the variety. Whether you are planning a picnic, stocking the fridge, looking for a hostess gift or simply following your appetite, the market is an easy place to find something fresh, flavorful and distinctly local.

Table on the Farm

Also not to be missed this summer is the market’s annual Table on the Farm. Taking place on Sunday, Aug. 9 this year, the dinner will be hosted at Cosmic Apple Gardens. Tickets are on sale now and expected to go quickly. Chefs Eric Wilson and Brad Ledo/Cooking in the Dark will create dishes showcasing all the farm has to offer.

Melissa Thomasma

In full rebellion against the unpredictable climate of the Rocky Mountains, you can find Melissa on her Teton Valley deck grilling any month of the year. Typically in flip flops. Snow, rain, wind… no weather is too fierce. She’s a lover of peaches in any form, has a borderline addiction to arugula, and (strangely) has been known to drizzle soy sauce on pizza. But even more than she loves her stand mixer and cast iron collection, she adores cooking for her husband and two kids. When this Jackson Hole native isn’t scurrying around her messy kitchen, she’s probably outside floating the river, hiking, camping, fishing, or, well… grilling.
