Step back in time and party like it’s the 1920s, right here in downtown Jackson. The Jackson Hole History Museum is kicking off its first-ever Eras Party, and this inaugural theme is all about the roaring ’20s. Set for Thursday, June 18, from 6–9 p.m., the evening blends history, hospitality and a little Gatsby-era glamour, all in support of History Jackson Hole’s ongoing work in preservation, education and local storytelling.
Guests can expect an immersive night inspired by Jackson Hole in the 1920s, complete with custom cocktails from Wyoming Whiskey, elevated hors d’oeuvres by Provisions, a live jazz band and dramatic readings that bring the valley’s past to life. Period-inspired décor will round out the experience, transporting attendees to a different era without ever leaving town.
This year’s celebration also nods to one of Jackson Hole’s notable historical figures: Eleanor Josephine Medill “Cissy” Patterson, longtime owner of Flat Creek Ranch and a pioneering journalist who became one of the first women to lead a major daily newspaper, the Washington Times-Herald in Washington, D.C.

Tickets are $250 per person, with a portion tax-deductible, making this as meaningful as it is memorable. Proceeds directly benefit the museum’s efforts to preserve and share the stories that shaped Jackson Hole. For tickets, buy online, call (307) 733-2414 or mail a check to PO Box 1005, Jackson, WY 83001 (be sure to include “Eras Party” in the memo along with your contact information).
“We’re thrilled to kick off a unique party highlighting Jackson Hole roots and history. We’ll feature a live jazz band, period decor, and Adopt an Artifact opportunities. Notable locals will read excerpts about life here from 1920s publications including The Diary of a Dude Wrangler and Homesteading with the Elk, ” said Exhibits and Communications Director Kirsten Corbett.
