Top Shelf Collective, parent company to The Liquor Store and Jackson Hole Marketplace, just released their very own branded cocktail collection: Top Shelf Cocktails!
TLS is the spot for a booze run after your grocery shopping or for a refreshing sloshie, and now it’s the place to come grab your pre-mixed, craft cocktails! The Liquor Store is known for having a wide selection. They have everything from craft beer, to premium spirits, to an entire floor dedicated to wine.
But for the first time, they will be offering their very own label of hand crafted cocktails. Much like the store name, these cocktails are straight forward and to the point, no additives or fake tasting flavors, just good drinks. Served shaken, over ice, or neat, these ready-to-pour cocktails will elevate your evening beverage or even your next adventure!
Everything about these hand crafted, ready-to-pour cocktails is consciously curated. Rich Marino, one of the managers, said the project was a group effort by everyone at Top Shelf Collective, however when Riley Di-Zinno, a well known local mixologist and bartender, joined the team the idea really took flight.
The idea was spurred on when they added a Negroni to the sloshie machine and people loved it! They realized that people wanted a quality cocktail that you could grab-and-go, to add ease and convenience, without the fake taste that so many “pre-made” drinks have.
With that, the first cocktail recipe was created: the Gin Cocktail. A gin based chocolate Negroni in which they soak coffee beans and coco nibs in gin before straining and adding Campari and sweet vermouth. This cocktail is surprisingly balanced with hearty coffee notes and a hint of chocolate, it’s the perfect evening drink served over ice in your favorite rocks glass.
They have since developed an old fashioned and four other spirit-based cocktails including agave, rum, vodka, and whiskey, so there is a little something for every occasion. One bottle, however, they wanted to highlight a crowd favorite and classic cocktail, the old fashioned.
The first batch old fashioned is made with a traditional whiskey spirit, but with a twist! They have opted to use plum bitters and infuse the bourbon with earl grey tea leaves – delivering a balanced and tasty beverage best enjoyed over ice. With only 100 bottles in each batch, the spirit-based bottles will change cocktails, while the old fashioned will change spirits! Another personalized touch, each batch number is hand written on the label, so be sure to experience every batch while you can!
The 8 ounce bottles of goodness are about 2 to 3 servings each, and because they are made with top shelf spirits, they clock in between 20 to 40% ABV.
