Glorietta offers a pop-up cantina

Best known for their handmade fresh pastas, intimate dining atmosphere and vast wine and spirits selection, Glorietta is a staple for locals and a must-go for visitors. What is not well known is that they sell their wines by the bottle to take home and enjoy.

During this off season, Glorietta will open their doors as a Pop-Up Cantina. They are offering wine tastings of some of their popular and unique wines, charcuterie, and they will be selling bottles at retail, just in time for the holidays!

Pro tip: tastings are complimentary with the purchase of bottles. Swing by between 1-4 p.m. Nov. 11, 14, and 18, or from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 and 23. This opportunity is a great way to impress your family and friends this Thanksgiving.

Glorietta Pop Up Cantina

The wine tastings at Glorietta are much like a dinner service in that it is approachable and intimate. Set up at the family style table in the back room, you’ll enjoy a variety of wines selected and hosted by Dan Veit, Gloerietta’s full time sommelier. Veit comes from a background in food and beverage and has spent much of his carrier consulting for both private cellars and restaurants.

Veit’s passion lies in organic, small production and unique wines from all over the world. After starting at Glorietta in June, he completely revamped their cellar and brought in many wines you won’t find anywhere in Wyoming. His intention at Glorietta is to provide “food wines” that are “an extension of the kitchen”. Just as Glorietta works with small local organic farms and ranches, he wants to provide quality wines grown and produced by similar caliber farmers and producers.

The selection of featured wines available at the Pop-Up Cantina are all curated by Veit himself. This week starts with a crisp and bright Prosecco, Sorelle Bronca, from two sisters that are grower producers in Italy. Coming in at only $26, the bottle is low in alcohol (11%) and big in bubbles, perfect to start off Thanksgiving day, or pair with the turkey!.

Next, slide in to whites and reds from around the world including Austria and Spain, and perhaps savor an Italian orange wine to finish. The Glorietta Pop-Up is a great place to spend some time this off season and pick up a bottle or two for home.
