Event this Sunday features Amrita Beverages and more.
Treat yourself to some self care this weekend with Spirit Sessions at Astoria Hot Springs, featuring yoga, meditation, music and locally crafted artisan libations at the natural pools.
The first ever Spirit Sessions event will kick off on this Sunday at 3 p.m., starting with an integrative yoga and breath work session led by Sattva yoga teacher and spiritual intuitive coach Deidre Norman. Guests will have the opportunity to choose between soaking with friends in the upper pools, enjoying a silent soak in the two lower pools, or joining the guided mantra meditation in the meadow pool. After the hot spring session, enjoy appetizers and AB:Free beverages (non-alcoholic handcrafted libations from Jackson-based Amrita Beverages) in the Astoria cabin, with Native American spiritual interpreter Brandy Tuttle.
“As a business owner in the event space, I have always been drawn towards these more intentional events,” says Jessa Talermo, Founder of Amrita Beverages and Foray Events. “At one point prior to the pandemic, I realized that if that’s where my passion was I should start facilitating and hosting them instead of just waiting for clients to hire me for theirs.”
Spirit Sessions are a continuation of Talermo’s focus on creating unique, spiritual events and retreats that connect guests to place and self, following a five-course spring equinox dinner she hosted in March. She said this wellness-focused afternoon at Astoria is a great way to build greater self awareness through the spirit of water, breath and movement, and music.
“We are being asked as individuals, and a collective, to heal and grow. Often, these are challenging and uncomfortable times that require support for our bodies and minds. It is up to us to show up, to love and nurture ourselves, to return to joy, beauty, and purpose. We have created this event as an opportunity to bring you home to yourself. Back to the body, back to Earth, and to bring connection amongst a beautiful gathering of humans in Jackson Hole.”
