Come Celebrate the Launch of Yeah Buddy Pizza

The word is out: Pizzeria Caldera is now Yeah Buddy Pizza and the Town Square pizza shop is ready to celebrate. Yeah Buddy Pizza is hosting a launch party on May 24, with live music, a pizza sampling happy hour, meet and greet with the new owners and 50-percent of the evening’s revenue donated to Coombs Outdoors

Owner Joe Hurd bought Pizzeria Caldera last May, and said they wanted to spend the first year getting their feet under them before making any big changes. They kept the tried and true Neapolitan pizza the same, with plans to rebrand the shop for a more memorable Jackson experience. “We’re really happy with the local support and regulars that have been coming in, we hope to keep that up while putting ourselves out there a little more,” Hurd told Dishing when Yeah Buddy first announced the name change in April.

Their new tagline, “Worth the Climb!,” is a nod to the variety of outdoor activities that locals and visitors enjoy in Jackson, because after a big day in the mountains, what’s better than digging into a piping hot pizza?

Stop in to sample their classic pizzas and other menu highlights from 4 to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow night, and stick around from 5:30 to 6 p.m. for a “Meet the Owners” session where Hurd and the team will share more about what they’re up to and local discounts and deals they’ve got cooking. If you can’t make the afternoon festivities, purchase pizza for dine in or takeout all day (11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.) and half of the proceeds supporting initiatives for outdoor youth programs from Coombs Outdoors.

“We have had a great first year here in Jackson. We’ve gotten our feet under us, assembled an amazing staff and leadership team; meet some awesome regulars, friends and neighbors; and we’ve skied, hiked and biked a bunch!  With the already great pizza, the new name, and updates to the space; we are excited to deliver on our promise of Good Pizza and Good Vibes!  Please come check it out!,” says Hurd.
