For all the foodies out there inspired by Asian food, there is a new Korean market and deli in Jackson Hole. Located inside Bapp, on Broadway, the market offers authentic Korean groceries and snacks, prepackaged soups, udon, and ramen, and a daily selection of pre-made hot and cold meals, served grab-and-go style.

Kim Degman, owner and chef of Bapp, has served authentic Korean cuisine to the town of Jackson since 2011. Since launching the Korean market and deli, just weeks ago, she is excited to cater to travel enthusiasts and Jacksonites looking for Korean-specific foods. Shop a full selection of products, from rice and noodles, to seasoned seaweed, black and white sesame seeds, chili pepper flakes, soybean paste, and sesame oil. Find all essential ingredients used to create an authentic Korean dish at home.
My goal is to help people have the best experience cooking Korean food, by introducing them to the best Korean products that I can provide.
Kim Degman, owner and head chef at Bapp
Degman herself has hand-picked every single product, choosing only the best brands and most popular items. Shoppers can explore a variety of prepackaged udon and ramen flavors, including seafood, spam and bean, army stew, potato noodle, cheese, sesame, chicken, bulgogi, and more. Authentic Korean snacks include sesame crackers, best when served with hot ginger tea or Korean instant coffee, honey butter Korean chips, and ppushu ppushu, a savory crunchy snack made of uncooked ramen noodles.

Best of all, patrons can enjoy some of their favorite menu items as well as daily lunch specials to-go. Pick from a cooler full of homemade soups, fried kimchi, spicy and fermented vegetables, and seaweed salad. Grab a side of cooked rice with your tteok-bokki, a popular street food made with rice cake and fishcake. And for dinner, Degman offers cooking instructions for popular dishes like bulgogi, thinly sliced beef marinated in garlic, ginger, soy, and sesame oil, for the best results at home. Don’t forget Kim’s all around tasty soy sauce, perfect for salads, rice, cooking and more.
That’s the fun thing about the market and deli, that I can offer people Korean options to cook at home. I can help them starting out. And by having the deli people don’t have to wait as long for food, and I can make what I want. I can cook different food daily, items that are not on the menu. I can make and offer more different types of food for people to try. I want to show people everything that I can.
Kim Degman

The market also offers great gift ideas. From chopsticks for the beginner in the family, to beautifully designed sushi kits, tea sets, noodle cookers, and wooden udon spoons, there is something fun for everyone.
The Korean market and deli inside is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. serving daily specials and grab-and-go food, and Bapp offers takeout at the drive-thru window service the same hours. For more information or to place an order call (307) 201-1818 or order online.
