Snake River Roasting and Ringholz Studios Combine Coffee and Visual Arts

Wake up with a cup of locally, hand-roasted coffee this winter. Whether you’re in need of a little boost first thing in the morning, or just enjoy a delicious cup of joe throughout the day, Snake River Roasting Co. and Ringholz Studios have joined forces to create a new winter coffee blend called Wonderland coffee.

It is a very unique roast with deep fruits and a plumy texture. It’s not something that anyone is going to taste and say, “I’ve had this before.” Wonderland is a heavy-bodied coffee that makes you feel warm and comforted.

Petroff and Ringholz tweaked and tasted at least 30 different versions of coffee before creating the perfect Wonderland blend. It was created using four different origins, or types of beans. Sumatra coffee was used for the base, and natural process Ethiopia added a very blueberry forward flavor. A natural process Brazil, offers a darker roast combined with flavors of caramel and chocolate with a syrupy texture, and a honey processed Dominican Republic, adds the taste of cherries, creating a dark finish with flavors of stone fruits and jams.

I like chocolatey, yummy coffee, which matched the winter blend feeling. The coffee is strong, yet delicious!

And with a name like Wonderland, Ringholz set out to design a brand new image for the packaging. After several sketches, it was the majestic Teton views, and the beauty of a winter wonderland in Jackson Hole that resinated with the magical feel of Wonderland coffee.

I wanted to show off Jackson Hole. I wanted to make something dreamy, and show a sense of place.

Wonderland coffee is sold at Picnic, Lucky You, Jackson Whole Grocer, Ringholz Studios, Snake River Roasting Co., and Albertson’s Grocery. You can purchase an 11 ounce bag for $18.75. The new winter coffee blend makes a great local gift idea, or souvenir to remember the beauty of Jackson Hole.

I’m really into everyone being able to enjoy art, for any price tag.

Food and Fitness come hand in hand for this Central New York native. Coaching fitness is a first passion, but exploring new restaurants, sampling seasonal dishes and tasting fresh new flavors is a very, very close second. I love food and sharing a good meal with friends can be a highlight to any day.
