Introducing: Continuum

A project that has been years in the making has finally come to fruition at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Continuum, in Teton Village, has been deemed a new breed of hotel, and it is an altogether modern, stylish and comfortable experience. Its goal: be the home base for adventurists.

Because the hotel is the first Teton Gravity Research branded hotel experience, it only makes sense that it was named for their 1996 flagship film, The Continuum. The hotel immerses guests in the TGR experience, and is representative of the continuation of this brand and its dedication to showcasing extreme sports, especially those in Jackson Hole. What was once familiar to us as the Inn at Jackson Hole is now a fully renovated, expanded hotel that offers rooms and lofts, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, brand new bar and all-day-into-late-night dining spot.continuum

The Bar at Continuum will offer breakfast, an all-day menu and late night bites. For breakfast, diners can choose from grab-and-go options to hit the slopes early, or settle in for a seated meal. The house made wild blueberry crumb cake is easy on the eyes and taste buds, but you might instead start craving the Sunrise Disco Fries smothered in carne asada, salsa ranchero, cheddar and scrambled eggs. This menu is offered from 6-10 a.m. to get you fueled up for your adventures.

An “all-day apres” menu is offered from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Expect a communal atmosphere with edgy, sophisticated bar foods. Think brown bag garlic fries with dipping sauce or double corn tortilla tacos with choice of protein: chicken tinga, carne asada or baja fish. Looking to share? Split a wood-fired artisan pizza, meat and cheese board or veggie platter. After 5 p.m., large shared options are designed for two. These entrée options include: jidori chicken, an 18-ounce black angus ribeye or wood-fired mussels. Get a crew together to order them all because you’ll definitely want a bite of each!continuum

With a late night menu still being refined, Village-goers can rest easy that there will be a place for food until midnight. Pizzas, tacos and other shareables will abound on this menu. So whether your inbound flight was delayed or you’re exiting an evening show, Continuum will be there to feed those late night cravings.

Continuum Hotel’s approach to hospitality is to keep things simple, casual and sophisticated, while keeping lodging costs down so that visitors can spend their money on more fulfilling travel experiences while in Jackson Hole. LB Haney, the sales and marketing manager, says that when you stay at Continuum, “your money travels farther.” After all, you probably traveled far enough to get here!continuum

Celebrate Continuum’s opening with the premiere of TGR’s latest film, Fire on the Mountain, a collaboration with Chris Benchetler and the Grateful Dead. Fire on the Mountain will be held both tonight and tomorrow evening. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the film, followed by a Q & A and concluded with a concert by The Deadlocks. Tickets are just $25. This will only be the first of many TGR events held at Continuum. Expect themed events and movie screenings that remind you of all the TGR films you’ve seen and loved.

Sam Simma

Raised in the land of casseroles and deep fried cheese curds, Sam Simma left rural Wisconsin for the mountains of Wyoming in summer 2012. Her appetite for adventure is the only thing that rivals her passion for food. She has always used writing to document and critique her travel and dining experiences. Her warmest memories among family and friends have been associated with the food that was at the center of the occasion. From staging cooking shows with siblings to perfecting turtle brownies with her dad, today Sam enjoys connecting people over food by hosting cookie decorating parties, wine pairing nights, and Midwest-inspired potlucks. A dessert fanatic, she has come to impress friends and family with key lime pies, Oreo bon bons, and Snickers ice cream cakes that are far simpler than they could ever imagine. Shhh! Don’t tell.
