Our valley is bustling with possible gift ideas from our favorite local business. Call us Santa’s helpers, because here we’ve got the lowdown on edible and drinkable gifts for your favorite foodie.

For our sweet tooth…

If holiday shopping for anyone with even the slightest sweet tooth, look no further that Oscar Ortega. The world-renowned chocolatier, whose hazelnut praline was named the best chocolate praline in the world, has a variety of sweets that make the perfect gift. Available at both their workshop and their boutique location Cocolove, you can hand pick a box of truffles and assemble the perfect chocolate selection. The best part is their cute orange packaging means you don’t even have to wrap it!

Mursells Sweet Shop and Yippy I-O also have a variety of chocolates and sweets that make the perfect gift. The handmade fudge at Yippy I-O is mouthwatering and is available in a variety of flavors to satisfy anyone. At Mursells Sweet Shop, you can find anything from hand-dipped chocolate caramels to classic candies such as candy cigarettes and black jack gum.

wyoming whiskey

For our whiskey lovers…

If you have anyone on your gift list that enjoys drinking a nice glass of whiskey by a fire during the Holiday season, Wyoming Whiskey makes the perfect gift for a hostess or loved one. Although all of their whiskies would put a smile on someone’s face, the Bin22 reserve, sold exclusively at Bin22, makes an extra special gift. This batch was hand picked and tasted by our folks at Fine Dining Restaurant Group and is the oldest private stock Wyoming Whiskey has ever realized. It’s so delicious even Santa will want some.

wine gifts

Stop by Jackson Hole Winery and stock up: half bottles range from $14- $16; chocolate pairing tins are $8; coasters are $12; tastings are $15 per person.

For our wine enthusiasts…

Our local Jackson Hole Winery makes wine gifting easy, offering bottles, cases and even mini bottles that make the perfect stocking stuffer or chocolate accompaniment. We all know the red wine pairs perfectly with any holiday celebration, so make sure you gift some to yourself as well.

If shopping for a beer lover, our local breweries have you covered. Stop by Roadhouse pub shop for their latest beers or find them at any of our liquor stores along with options from Melvin, and Snake River Brewing. StillWest‘s craft beer, although not available in stores, can be purchased in the form of 32 ounce aluminum crowler cans at their tap room at the base of Snow King.

For those with holiday stress…..

As fun as holidays are, it is no secret that they can be extremely stressful. For those who would benefit from a decrease of anxiety and a good night of sleep, CBD makes the perfect gift. Simply Health, our local wellness center, carries a variety of CBD products you could gift this holiday season. Offering Medterra products, all of the CBD is guaranteed to be THC-free and are available in topical creams, capsules and droppers.

Sticks and Stones Cookie Co also offers CBD through a more decadent vessel and will be selling their CBD cookies at the Winter Peoples Market. The next market will be taking place December 21 at the Lodge at Jackson Hole’s Conference Center

bovine & swine

For our meat lovers….

For a protein-packed present, JH Buffalo Meat Co has a wide selection of buffalo, elk and gourmet gift packs for whatever your price range may be. Bovine & Swine also has everything from beef snack sticks to a variety of homemade sausages. All of their products can be shipped nationwide or picked up at many of our regional grocery stores.

To take it ever further, I also recommend picking up some jams, preserves and pickled items from Roots Kitchen and Cannery. Together, these products can be wiped up to make a delicious, locally-sourced charcuterie. If that’s not their thing, the products from Roots Kitchen and Cannery are just as good when enjoyed alone!

For those who wanna stay warm…

Give the gift of warmth and nutrients this Christmas by gifting them soup from Glory Bowl Soup Company, who offers homemade gourmet soups delivered right to your door.  One time gift packages include: two different soups of the week, a loaf of fresh bread, a customized gift card and local delivery. If you are looking to give a gift that keeps on giving, they offer a subscription service that allows you to gift two or more soups per week, with add-ons like fresh bread, eggs, Chai or hummus.

For more liquid warmth, our local company, Teton Teas has selections of high-quality, carefully crafted teas and associated products related to all things tea. They offer monthly subscription boxes containing three different types of tea as well as four packs of one ounce loose leaf tea. These teas make the perfect gift for our cold holiday season.

For our dining lovers….

An easy and appreciated gift for anyone on your holiday list is a gift card to their favorite local restaurant. You can get gift cards to any restaurants around town, and, if you act fast, Snake River Grill is offering a deal until December 12 (today!) where every $100 you spend on a gift card you get a $25 bonus on a separate card. Cora Mitchell

Cora, a food lover and Jackson Hole native, has grown up in the thick of all things dining. With a restaurant owner as a father, she spent her childhood years exploring the ins and outs of the food and beverage industry. Cora left the mountains to attend Santa Clara University in California and double majored in communications and sustainability. With a deep passion for travel, Cora spent her months after college traveling the world and strengthening her love for cooking, food, and a glass of red wine. Now working at restaurants across the valley, Cora can often be spotted at one of our many beloved dining hot spots, the farmers market, or the yoga studio.
