DESCRIPTION:Central Wyoming College is partnering with Jackson Hole Writers\, The Anvil Hotel and Glorietta Trattoria to offer a unique off-season opportunity that blends culinary arts and creative writing. \nThe collaboration is designed to help participants build confidence and experience in culinary writing\, culminating in a food-focused tasting event and open mic at the Cache House Hostel. \nAn educational culinary writing session will take place Thursday\, April 9\, from 8:30 to 9:50 a.m. during a regular meeting of Central Wyoming College’s Composition 1020 course. Hospitality and culinary students will also attend. Community members are invited to participate alongside students; registration is required. This workshop will take place at Jackson Campus in the Center for the Arts\, rm 118. \nThe experience continues Friday\, April 10\, from 6 to 9 p.m. with a tasting event and open mic at the Cache House Hostel at The Anvil Hotel. Students\, class participants and community members are invited to enjoy an evening of curated bites and beverages from the Glorietta Trattoria kitchen. \nCost of this event is $60.

Vertical Harvest is a state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse that grows crops while providing meaningful\, competitively-paid jobs for people with disabilities. \n“For me\, Hearts of Glass represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share a story of possibilities unfolding in my own backyard\,” director/producer Jennifer Tennican said. “Prepare to be transported. Dr. Chapple will share discoveries from 15 years of research across three oceans tagging\, tracking and trying to understand these apex predators. He will explore why we need to change our current mantra of fear and apprehension of sharks to one of awe and appreciation. The Moth celebrates the ability of stories to honor both the diversity and commonality of human experience\, and to satisfy a vital human need for connection. It seeks to present recognized storytellers among established and emerging writers\, performers and artists and to encourage storytelling among communities whose stories often go unheard. \nThe Moth Mainstage is a community where entertainment and enlightenment merge\, featuring five tellers who develop and shape their stories with The Moth’s directors.
